Yeah it's the fastest I've primed a squad and a half, with the best coverage I've gotten on a squad and a half.
I'm sold.

Alright, updates. I've put some initial layers on a Daemon Prince, he's 40k but I've been using him in AoS Shhhhhhhhhhh yeah on the top of my list to buy is a proper daemon prince, but my next purchase is going to be buying a box of blood letters and prime, basecoat, and then only drybrushing. I need more practice drybrushing. Actual updates though, are liberators, retributors, lord relictor, and the dracoth rider himself, they've been base coated and they're getting initial layering done. By this week I hope to have the 14 guys done or so (10 libis, 3 retris, the lord relictor) because I expect the dracoth rider will take a little extra TLC. No pictures because they're not yet ready! They remind me of bubble gum though

So... I'm thinking of styling all my Exiles as pirates, since Naggaroth is no more, and I've got a bunch of corsairs (20 in fact, and I think I'll get 10 more to run a nice blob of them) But I still want some dreadspears, but those shields are kind of big and aren't very piratey... What do you think about these bucklers? (10 points to whoever knows where they're from) I've asked a few people and they think that it looks cool, I'm worried some people might complain that they're too small to be the awesome darkshields (which are better than sigmarite shields funnily enough). But they look so piratey On the right you see me trying out Pavise Darkshards I'm trying to figure out what I like, I think I'm going to go for this:

the pavaise is a good idea I think, I'd just smooth out that join with a bit of greenstuff though

I magnetized the arms for my bloodletters, I think I put the pictures in my sci-fi thread (because I was talking about maybe 40k kill teams, but I've abandoned that idea) So they're getting ready to be washed I'm trying to keep these guys simple, grey, wash with nuln oil, drybrush lighter grey, drybrush ulthuan done. Swords and horns are going to be brown, bown, tamiya clear red. Black nails, black eyes. Mostly I want to practice drybrushing on these guys, also I'm trying to get faster at painting Bases will be orange with a heavy navy blue drybrush, I want it to look magical, like they're summoned/deepstriking I've also done some coats on some terrain My extremely low budget watchtower, I think it looks nifty I should've put a bit more effort into the trapdoor, but I'll probably get another one if I'm really unhappy.

Thanks The bloodletters have their horns bone coloured, their skin is finished, it's been washed and drybrushed twice, I love how their skin turned out! The bones need to be touched up, washed and then I'm going to put tamiya clear red over them Eyes will be orange + nuln oil, bases will be orange with a navy blue drybrush to look magical, like they were summoned.

I changed my mind about the bones, I liked how they were looking after the swords were done And surprise, little guys ahoy (the most fearsome cold-one knights around) Crossbows, yay No the little guys aren't finished in the photos, but they're dang close. Waiting for the sand to dry before adding a bit more sand, dusting off the minis, then lightly flocking, then sealing... So yeah, just PVA dry time ahead Barn/cottage needs some more detailing on the roof for the thatch colour, some more paint/detail on the doors. I thought it was more barn-like originally, but I'm less sure now.

Boring pictureless update but I've got a daemon Prince built with magnetized wings for transportation and painting ease, two goblin archers, a netter, a gonger, four warriors of chaos with great weapons, a goblin with a sword and torch, all built and primed and I primed a couple reaper miniatures, a vampire aristocrat, small treasure pile, some flesh golems, some orcs, some other dudes that I don't remember. All of those are primed and ready to paint. Ready to prime are some other wizards, some Skeltons, a, harpy some lizard men another flesh golem, some evil knights an orc with a spear. Also ready to prime are some marauders, three sword and board, one dagger and torch, one with a flail and three chaos wolves. All in all there's 14 citadel dudes and the daemon Prince to be painted, three citadel wolves and a bunch of reaper bones minis. I'm getting ready for Frostgrave

Thank you I'll be honest without Shannon incenting me with the challenges I wouldn't get as much done lol! The blood letters were sitting, armless, almost finished but without their swords and I kept procrastinating, it's really easy to be tired and get nothing done after work
