Option 1 - won't give me as much value, but I really like both the crossbow models and the paladins
Heroes:3 Warscrolls: 10 Wounds: 124
Lord-Celestant on Dracoth Lord Relictor Lord Castellant
2 gryph-hounds 10 judicators with crossbows (bows are arguably better but the crossbow looks better in my opinion) 10 liberators 3 prosecutors 6 Paladin Decimators 6 Paladin Protectors 6 Paladin Retributors
Ophidian Archway (won it, might as well include it...lol)
Option 2 - similar cost as above but also gives me a spare dracoth, relictor and the entire khorne set from the starter...lol... that set is such an amazing value!
Heroes:3 Warscrolls: 10 Wounds: 124
Lord-Celestant on Dracoth Lord Relictor Lord Castellant
1 gryph-hounds 10 judicators with crossbows 10 liberators 9 liberators 6 prosecutors 5 Paladin Decimators 6 Paladin Retributors
Ophidian Archway

Well my list in progress is pretty boring and won't help you lol
I'm building
2x lord celestant on a dracoth (14)
20 liberators (40) [54]
6 retributors (18) [72] 6 prosecutors (12) [84]
2 empire battle wizards (10) [94]
1 lord relictor (5) [99]
This gives me a 100 wound list to play with before I get more paladins to build up to 125

Thinking either of these formations would work with either list A or B above

Both of those formations need an unmounted, foot slogging, Lord-Celestant Devastation Brotherhood sounds VERY nasty, definitely a good counter to a list which is running a huge blob of say Stormvermin (ie if you're playing CCBB comp and they've got a blob of 40 wounds of anything, these guys will smash that up) Damn, I need more paladins, baby steps nsc, baby steps. I think I'll be working up to an annihilation brotherhood though, it seems more fun for scenario/narrative play Although when I start buying boxes of paladins I'm going to be magnetizing weapons that's for sure!

Lord Celestant on Dracoth has the Lord Celestant keyword. It doesn't say it has to be unmounted at all, you just need the keyword.
however the devastation brotherhood doesn't need one at all....hmmmmmmm
And yeah, magnetizing those weapons should be easy given it's basically only the weapon head that's different between the models, they're all polearm types

From the Ghal Maraz book: "Each warscroll batallaion sheet lists the units that make it up" It's units not war scrolls, so it's a Lord-Celestant, not a Lord-Celestant on a Dracoth sadly. Also note that in the Thunderstrike Brotherhood the listing is a "Lord-Celestant on Dracoth" despite that model not having that keyword. Sorry to rain on your parade, but rules are rules. Though with your interpretation Gorthor can be taken in a Furious Brayherd (which sounds AWESOME )

*shrugs*
the better one is the devestation brotherhood anyways, just makes the choice easy....

I wouldn't say the devastation brotherhood is better, it's different. It's better at killing a big block of somethings, and it's entirely comprised of amazing heavy infantry which you want to have a lot of anyways, but they're amazing heavy infantry that's mostly walking slowly, they're harder to use.
The Skyborn are immune to battleshock, which is huge for 3 wound paladins, if you ever roll poorly having 3 wounds or 6 wounds flee is a big deal!.
The skyborn also deepstrike, so they'll be defending/threatening an objective immediately and allowing 2-3 units a turn one charge.
Don't get me wrong, I believe that the devastation brotherhood is more powerful, and I like hitting things with huge halberd weapons, so I too value it as better, but I wouldn't discount the skyborn so quick just because the lord-celestant doesn't have his driver's license.

still looking at these guys... problem is, as new stuff gets released I want to include it all!
Heroes: 4 Warscrolls: 12
Celestant-Prime (8) Knight-Azyros (thinking 5 wounds? guestimating here as he hasn't yet been leaked - model is too nice not to field) Lord relictor (5) Lord Castellant (6)
6 decimators (18) 6 protectors (18) 6 retributors (18) 5 Judicators with crossbows (10) 5 Judicators with bows (10) 6 liberators (12) 1 gryph hound (3) 6 prosecutors (12)
125 wounds (if the knight is really 5 wounds... otherwise a liberator will be dropped to make the wounds)
still need: 3 prosecutors, prime and new knight hero... have everything else built!
