Second riptide is 99.9% done. The stupid transfer broke while I was varnishing it. I'll have to think of some way to make it work. imgur.com/gallery/Cs47B

little bit of battle damage should cover it nicely... you're doing that on other parts of the model anyways

Everything I have left to paint for the tourny. Not all that bad once I put it all together. Finished off 6 marker drones today. Didn't bother snapping a pic, they're kind of unremarkable. Also put the pants/sleaves on those pathfinders. Getting a little tired of painting red!

Picture of my messy painting set-up. Usually a little cleaner than this, but I've been going a little crazy. A little wine in the Tau Tear-Cup tm helps a bit. Working on the Commander tonight. Hopefully have him finished Sunday, but we'll see. I get distracted easily (See me posting in this thread instead of painting.....) Also figured out that there is a manual white balance setting on my phone's camera. Hopefully my future photos will be a little less saturated.

Pathfinders almost done! Only need some shrubberies on the base, and a light coat of varnish. To Do: -3 Broadsides, -Pulse Blast Cannon for the big guy -Ethereal -A pair of twin link fusion blasters for a riptide -The ion accelerator for my 2nd riptide (How strict is wysiwyg at the tourny? I'm getting a little nervous with the to do list. Lots of family stuff came up all of a sudden, and I thought the burst cannon looked cooler for the painting competition)

how strict? well as long as it's not confusing for your opponent as to what everything is... just be super clear... it's okay to say "all the riptides are armed the same with fusion cannons - this guy looks a little different because I tried to make him cooler for the painting competition"
I'm sure no one will give you grief about it. If they do just tell me. I know some guys....

Benny and Guido are great violin players, or at least they should be, they carry the cases everywhere.

Snowed in for sure, but so far my time has been taken up trying to keep my driveway vaguely clear and entertaining the snowed in kiddo.
