I like this conversion... very cool! Thank you! I held off building these destroyers for weeks while I waited for the legs to come in. Link to a couple pics of some of the family. imgur.com/a/7bx5HI like the legs even more when I see them next to the onagers. They fit perfectly.

Look awesome Lukas! Now... Hows about I trade you some Ad-Mech bits for those tank treads they used to sit on...

Look awesome Lukas! Now... Hows about I trade you some Ad-Mech bits for those tank treads they used to sit on... Argh, I would, but I can think of so many cool things to do with mini little treads, and they're suppper expensive to get a hold of, if you buy the kit. I'm thinking some sweet ATV's for some SM bikes, or an Iron Hands centurion conversion, seeing as they hate their bodies. Really thinking of adding a small Iron Hands group to my Ad-Mech group. Would be a really fluffy ally. If I make any more of these grav servitors, I'm just going to order the bits I need from a bits site. I used about 1/4 of the sprue for these guys. Seems like such a wast.

But man, I gotta paint these guys up. Just been in such a lul. Fought Shannon's beautiful Deamon monster mash, and all that flat black and plastic was discouraging. I had one fully painted model on the table.

Decided that my Tau army needed a place to hang out at home that was a little less prone to dust, compared to the unused portion of my desk. I got a couple of display cabinets on Kijiji for pretty cheap, and they had lights built in. I think it looks awesome. The top two shelves are fully painted, with the bottom shelf for primed dudes. Also been working on my table for games at home. I have a good couple pieces of scenery, but I'm still expanding. I've made two of these guys so far, but they turned out so cool, I'll probably make 4 or so more. The Scars of War

The lady I bought them off of still has one similar to these two, a little smaller and no light, but you could add one. Here's the add. link Located in kingston, down by the water on king st. W. It says she has 3, but she just hasn't updated it since I bought the two larger one. She's also open to offers, as I got my two for under 100$. The one available is on the right in the second photo. I though about buying it too, but it wouldn't fit in my FiL's jeep. *Edit* is the gif I posted at the bottom of the cabinet post working? It's the first time I've created one.

My first Forgeworld models ever! I've been in and around 40k since 3rd ed. with a large gap between the end of 4th and 7th, but I've never ventured into FW stuff. When I started playing Tau again, I became infatuated with the riptide model, definitely one of my favorites. But when I learned that FW had a couple of variants available, I knew it was the real deal. This was love. I had to get a XV107 Y'vahra for myself. Six months later, here we are. imgur.com/a/wRgWmI've had this type of pose in mind for a riptide for a while, but it seems far more appropriate for a model with twelve (12!) thrusters and a rule to move like a flying monstrous creature every once and a while. Things to note: -There is about half a wire coat hanger inside this guy. I didn't trust him not to break at the ankle so I added a longer support to go where the flying stand could go. I then figured the pillar would have re-bar coming out of it like it was destroyed, so I added some of that. -The head that comes with the Y'vahra is pretty dinky. Instead I cut up one of the spare Ghostkeel heads and used a bunch of green-stuff for a neck and a random support system from a crisis kit for the eye. -The base is actually the top of a shelled bunker. I'll have the him on the bunker for display, but for gaming I'll leave the top loose to act as a normal base. -The model is about 2x as high as the second riptide I have on here with the slightly hunkered down look. Just a hair taller than my Storm Surge, not counting his shoulder gun. This guy had his first game today, and he has some pretty mean teeth. He's a lot closer range than Tau usually like, but he has a decent chance of wiping out whatever he looks at. He fell in combat to some Lychguard and Scarabs after killing half a monolith, 5-7 flayed ones, 3 of the aforementioned lychguard, a Cryptech and a whole unit of Immortals on Over Watch.
