Im unaware if legends still works in 9th or not. But why not convert the old buggies into the new ones? would be an Orky way of making yours unique. Ive seen people take toy trucks and such and add lots of orky bits and random scraps to build ork stuff.
Also i'd be down for a game when you are back in town.

I will also need to set up some sort of queue for people who want to get a game in after I get back. (still struggling with the idea of being 'wanted' and 'accepted') For what it's worth, I think you're a great guy. Although I also struggle with the idea of people wanting anything to do with me, so I know where you are coming from.

It's leak time again folks.
First up in the Imperium corner, you know him, you love him (and hate him when he's on the other side of the table) the Hellblaster. Assault version of their gun goes to assault 3 and the heavy now does two damage per hit.
Necrons got some potentially very big changes. The Doom Scythe's weapons are now all 36" compared to 24", the main cannon is now heavy 3 instead of d3, strength 12 (still AP-4) and d3+3 damage. And the monolith will in theory have the option to take four of these guns.
Meanwhile it's tesla weapon gets two more shots along with the range buff. This is important since the Doom scythe in the 8e codex carried two tesla destructors but now it's presumably having them work as a twin weapon (since it used to be two guns each firing four shots and now it's apparently one gun firing 10); the same as on the annihilation barge. The barge might be getting a major shot in the arm for this edition.
Unfortunately the Ghost/Doomsday Ark isn't nearly as exciting. Only change is a 3+ armor from a 4+ while keeping the d6 shots and d6 damage.

3+ armour on a ghost ark helps. There have been many a times when I wish that 4+ was better.

I was actually hoping they were going to change that d6/d6 profile on the ark. Systematically removing all the d3's for more reliability, but we keep that swingy mess?
Cheers to the 'crons though. Happy to see any xeno get a buff. Except maybe craftworlds...

It's probably a trade they're forcing on us.
Take the Doom scythe with the more reliable fire output or the Arks for more durability (Q shields). Of course the fact that you aren't locked into Sautekh in order to use the scythes (since vehicles no longer get the -1 with heavy weapons)and I know from the analyzed preview that one of the dynasties does give every unit a 6+ invul. Not the best chance but better than nothing when the plasma and lascannons start shooting.

a 3+ armor plus quantum shielding is very survivable, especially with all those wounds and how important holding objectives midboard is in 9th.
As much as I do not want to paint another ghost ark, lol... I might have to paint a couple up

So from the previews we have another Necron character on the way. The good part is that he is apparently is not an HQ but is in fact an Elite like the named C'Tan shards.
The Hexmark Destroyer is a former Deathmark, now destroyer whose apparent thing is popping out of deep strike to unload a hail of pistol(?) shots. No stats given but it's guns (it has six, one of which you can only see in the turn-around in the preview video) are called enmitic disintegrators meaning that they are 'kin' to the Skorpekh Lord's weapon.

In the preview they indicated one of his rules is if you kill a model then he shoots another shot, and he is BS 2+, rerolling ones of course. He is an amazing mid game objective clearer.

So great against 1w infantry (maybe even Orks, depends on the weapon strength) but I can see him running out of steam fast against space marines.
