thats messed up. my brain is trying to change my lists to combat that, and it hurts... I’m not even sure how a FAQ could fix that, other than only allowing one dark technomacher per army.

proposed changes are dark technomancer buff doesn't work on auto-hitting weapons, or that instead of on the natural to hit roll of 1 you suffer a mortal, it goes to the wound roll. It's just problematic all over, and it's pretty widely known so I wouldn't worry too much about it, I'm sure it will be addressed soon!
As it stands there's really no reliable counter. Runs about a 73% win rate at GT's. Which is nuts.

When I restarted with Deathwatch I found I was very rarely if ever overcharging plasma....which just made it a consistent high strength low AP damage dealer....instead of a dangerous gamble.

I'm not seeing a single point drop in Thousand Sons. Mind you, if they're getting 2 wound Rubrics and 3 would Scarab Occult for the same points as now, that's not bad.

The PDF for Thousand Sons and Grey Knights just lets them use their rules and points as they are now - the book has the new (increased) points for the extra wound.

-Checks through post-
OK looks like that rumor I'd seen is most likely incorrect and thank the Silent King for that. What was suggested was that the Immortals would drop from 17 to 16 points (+1 for the tesla carbine instead of +2) while warriors would be going up to 14 points a model from 13 (Ergo 280 points for a block of 20).
Instead it seems they might be keeping the 17 point Immortal while making the guns free.

Instead it seems they might be keeping the 17 point Immortal while making the guns free. After reading your interpretation of that sentence, that makes complete sense. I know it's only another day to wait before we'll know what's changing, but it feels like forever. I cracked open battlescribe last night and realized the futility of list building with these changes looming.

Are they phasing out Legends options, or has BattleScribe done an oopsie? Outriders seem to be 10 points less per model and BattleWagons do not seem to have their Legends options listed.
Just wondering if this might be a silent change happening in the background, or something.

Looks like a mistake I believe
The gw app builder still has the battle wagon.
And still has space marine outriders as 50 points each which I believe is correct.

Legends will never "go away", it's purpose is to provide rules for old/depreciated/no-longer-produced models or units that were removed from codexes forever so you can still use conversions/options/etc that no longer exist for the general populace. Legends is not meant to be balanced, and some larger or GT tournaments and stuff don't allow models taken from it, but for casual/weekend matched play I've never seen anything in Legends so far that anyone would complain about.

Legends aren’t updated often. I know that some rules for weapon upgrades are still on for their land raiders back from 8th edition when lascannons were 20 points, now lascannons are part of the price, but the datsheets still say you need to add the weapon price which isn’t listed anywhere.
I think BattleScribe has given up on updating legend units.
