Instead it seems they might be keeping the 17 point Immortal while making the guns free. After reading your interpretation of that sentence, that makes complete sense. I know it's only another day to wait before we'll know what's changing, but it feels like forever. I cracked open battlescribe last night and realized the futility of list building with these changes looming. Another week. ... the book is up for PRE-ORDER tomorrow.

Alternatively, I am a buffoon. Apparently GW deigned not to send out review copies this time. That said, leaks indicate the missions are 1:1 reprints from last year. Decent amount of secondary objective changes: Linebreaker scores 2 for one unit, 4 for two units Domination changed to hold 3 objectives, and more than the opponent Retrieve Octarius Data scores 3 per table quarter Teleport Homer can be done outside of both deployment zones for 2 points Assassinate - Score 4 victory points (instead of 3) if you kill a Character which is their Warlord Mental Interrogation - up to 24", needs LOS Psychic Ritual - 3/7/12 victory points, instead of 15 if done 3 times While We Stand, We Fight - if any of the nominated units split into multiple units, you only score 5 if they all survive. If at least one of those split units survives, you score 3. Pierce the Veil is 4 VP each time you complete the action Investigate Sites can be started (but not completed) while there are enemies within 6" of the centre of the board

It’s disappointing that the missions are reprints. It seems that they dropped the ball with that opportunity.

I find it somewhat confusing that they wouldn't have tweaked the mission secondaries. They're currently either completely useless or an auto-take auto 15
WWSWF at least counters that silly move custodes can do, turning a big unit into 10 for that secondary.

Auspex Tactics just a couple of reviews detailing the changes in Space Marine and Necron point changes.
Space Marines got a ton of point drops of across the board but for the Necrons;
CCB went up 10, Chronomancer's Lance costs 10, tesla carbines are free, D.Ark went down 20 and the Lokhust destroyers are now 50 points while the heavies are 60.
In a way this makes the Doom Scythe even worse. I mean the thing costs 200 points and is infinitely less durable than the Stalker or Ark. Seriously if GW wants us to start buying the croissant of Doom again, either drop the points or give it Q.Shielding.

Yeah the scythe is just so expensive... needs at least a 30 point cut to make it even worth considering.

I appear to have made off like a bandit with the Craftworld's changes. Still awaiting official confirmation but I'm looking at a bounty of at least 50-something points, and some of the units I've been eyeing to cram in went down too.

Woof, the point changes for Thousand Sons are a bit brutal. Rubrics at 21 each now seems excessive even if they have 2 wounds. I hope there's some synergy with other areas of the army, or the boys in red might be taking a seat in the back of the bus.
Defilers are WAY up, though with their armament and BS 3+, I'm not surprised. The two different predator options could be interesting, and the "Legion command" sounds interesting as well. The siege shield returning as a purchased upgrade for the Vindicator is odd, but if it's worth it then...cool? Cultists down a point per body again, and some new options/increases for Ahriman & exalteds plus a cheap AF "Infernal Master". Hopefully NOT a Tzaangor on a disc as an HQ choice...
Here's hoping this all shakes out to a more Rubric/"actual" Thousand Son themed book. Hopes are up GW; don't fail me now.
