And weren't the battle strategies etc. more tie-breakers? I thought I read that somewhere. That was the Auxilliary Objectives from AoS 2.0 - Battle Tactics are worth 2 Victory Points per round (compared to Primary, which is up to 3 per round for 2/3/more objectives). Grand Strategies are worth 3 Victory Points.

I pointed out my CoS dwarves with the points changes and I'm 10 points overdrawn.
BLAST.
Hope when books get updated they jettison the dumb algorithm generated values that leaves a loose 5 points on half the units in the game. Combined with minimum unit sizes it makes army list building even more tetrisy than usual.

Well units having a single cost now instead of a scale based on size should help as well. I didn't notice this but clanrats spiked pretty dramatically with the changes. The unit itself only went up 10pts on paper but it lost its 20pt horde discount on a max unit so it's closer to a 30 point increase.

Yeah same for ironbreakers went up 5 and lost their horde discount so basically a 25 point increase for ten or 75 for my whole block. That's a whole gyrocopter - ouch!

I really don't see what GW suddenly has against units with more than minimum models. They add those coherency rules, they makes adding to a unit limited due to reinforcement points, and they also remove the max unit size discount.
Why GW, why?

Smaller board, easier entry for new players and above all makes it easier to sell big models because you don't need as much of the little guys.

Well they removed size upgrades costing points so horde discounts going away makes sense what doesn't is reinforcement points in the first place. Two units of 20 or one unit of 40 is the same number of models gw this really only affects pulse type buffs (buffs that choose a unit within x) and exactly skaven since we have three different buffs we get from fielding large units. So miffed too some of our unit sizes don't even line up with the boxes their sold in. Way to make us think you care gw. Sorry I'm a little salty about the way the changes affect skaven.

No need to be sorry. If it was my Ironjawz getting screwed over, I'd likely feel the same way.

There is supposed to be some sort of big faq/patch coming that most of the big youtubers/Podcasters are convinced will take all of that into account.
My Grot Stabbas took a big points increase as well.

The big thing for skaven is that we have a buff that scales for every ten models in a unit, one that doesn't kick in until 20 models and another that doesn't kick in until 30 and it's the units current size. The only unit above ten for starting size is clanrats. This ruins pretty much everything else infantry wise

It really pushes me towards taking an even more swarm oriented army than I already am since clanrats are the only unit that gets buffed nicely by our faction rules. Top it off with them and stormvermin being our only battle line without a pretty harsh condition on it and we'll I hope you all like mowing through 160 clanrats because that's going in every list from now on
