I didn't read all of the articles designed to hype each faction for the new edition, but the beasts of chaos one was embarrassing. Besides extremely poor examples of which units would benefit from the new rules, they tried to tell me that I could use a melee only buff on a shooting attack.
I'm sure there are people in the company who are familar with each army, and all the rules. But those people certainly aren't involved with their community presence, and the company in general is pretty terrible when it comes to the editing stage. See: every codex that immediately has a faq posted upon release.

Is this the same Warhammer Community that GW has, or something with the same name? I ask as it seems odd that GW would get information on their own products wrong. But hey, weirder things have happened. The very same. They frequently misquote or misrepresent their own rules.

The skaven article was hard to read. They spent two thirds of the article talking about unleash hell and using it on units they stripped most of the weapons out of in an faq. That and the three units they did mention were already three of the best in the army previously.

Not sure if you listen to AoS podcasts but The Honest Wargamer is doing interviews with dedicated tourney players from each faction and just released the skaven episode.
