I'll give ya $30 for your pretty picture book if I were to buy two dominions then I'd be all over that... but the core book is quite nice, and I'm really not up on the AOS lore, so want to keep the one I have. And I'm not sure I want TWO sets of dominions given that the big models are special characters so I can't use duplicates!

I sorta wished Dominion came with a GHB instead of the rulebook aha- historically I've never had much use for AoS lore. I guess I should give it another try though, just in case.
I was going through the pictures with a co-worker today and showing him the different armies, but I'm actually surprised how little miniature art is in the book. There's a decent amount I guess but not even enough to have nice shots of all the different armies. I think I only saw one decent Gloomspite pic of some mangler squigs and nothing else. The vast majority of the book is art and lore, which is... weird to me. I know this has kinda been 'the thing' with Warhammer for quite a long time but it still feels off to buy a rulebook that's 80% extras.
I didn't really pay for the thing though so maybe I shouldn't complain haha. The GHB having the core rules is nice because it means they can change them midway through the edition and avoid the constant 'layers of FAQs and erratas' plague that always rears up late in every edition.

I was a hardcore whfb player and when the endtimes happened and aos 1 came out I was pretty salty. So salty infact I didn't look at the game or its fluff until the kruelboyz caught my eye. My current job has me commuting about 50 mins a day so I've started some of the AoS books and I have to say the new lore is just as good if not better than whfb stuff.

It took a long time for them to find the right tone and do the right worldbuilding but right around last year the lore started to feel worth looking at again. I'll always resent endtimes and forever miss whfb but aos is coming along nicely lore wise right now. I would say it still has a lot of catching up to do novel wise though.

I have my dominion set here, but the friend I was going to split it with no longer wants the Stormcast half. I'll ask another friend if he wants it I guess. That dampened my spirits though, to the point that I haven't even opened the box yet.
Should my other friend not want it, I don't know what to do. Nobody seems to want the Stormcast half. I guess I can find something to do with them. I'd need plenty of head swap bits though.

Someone pulling out of a split buy at the last moment is rough mate, that's a lot of plastic to get stuck with :/
You'll be able to move it eventually but it might take a while because everyone who wanted a Dom split has probably already arranged it. You'll have to give it a few passes on the trade forum or look for new players who want an affordable buy-in. If I recruit any new players who might want SCE I'll keep you in mind

There are a pile of buy and sell groups on FB you could easily sell those SCE.

Today's AoS goonhammer is an oof. RagnarokAngel really needs somebody to proof these things so they don't become WarCom 2.0

Crazy to talk about 5 changes and get 4 of them wrong. Today's AoS goonhammer is an oof. RagnarokAngel really needs somebody to proof these things so they don't become WarCom 2.0 A fate worse than death...

Is this the same Warhammer Community that GW has, or something with the same name?
I ask as it seems odd that GW would get information on their own products wrong. But hey, weirder things have happened.

Oh man. GW made vids about AoS 3 rule changes and got some of the messed up.

Gw gets their own rules wrong a decent number of times. That's how some rules end up actually useless.
