Hello All!
A few of us have been thinking about starting an Age of Sigmar league and have been creating a framework around it. Of course a league can only exist if there are players who would like to join!
Here is the framework:
Pick an army and an allegiance and this will be what you play each game. The list itself can change as you wish. Rolling for priority will be at the discretion of the two players, If an agreement cannot be made on to play with or without priority, flip a coin.
Scheduling will be somewhat random to start but will be geared toward overall player results. Example, if you are 3-0 through 3 games, you will play another player who is 3-0. People will give me the results and I will tally scores and assign matches for future games. I will also update a leaderboard.
Scoring will be tallied as follows; 4 points for a major victory, 3 points for a minor victory, 2 points for a tie and 1 point for a loss.
We were thinking of grabbing random missions throughout the different seasons while keeping the rules the same. Most of the people I have played with are not particularly eager on playing the Galletian Veterans rules. Players matched up will have 2 weeks to find time to fit a game in. Games can be played anywhere (Sigmar nights are Wednesdays at Nexus). The idea early on is that we would play for 6 weeks, see how it goes and perhaps extend or start up again for a new season next year at some point. At the end of the six game period, we would have 3 random prizes based on names drawn. Prize one would be a $100 gift card to Nexus, Prize two Army Painter Speed paint starter set and prize three a GW starter paint kit. The only condition for prizing will be that all 6 games are played. If for some reason, someone can’t play, we can schedule make up games in another week that works for both people.
I should also mention, no cost to play. At this time, we have 6 players interested but looking for many more! The more the merrier!
If you have any suggestions or if this is something that you are interested in, please let me know!
Thanks!
Mike
