Hey everyone I was thinking we just had clubs and I think 6 terrain donated tables really help to stretch Nexus terrain a fair bit, but even so I think there were a couple tables that caused some frustration due to missing one or two pieces of key terrain. So thanks to Sean, Taylor, Kevin and Chris for the tables. To build on the "best table" and maybe even give some people a starting point for next year, I have been doing some looking around and found this: ttcombat.com/collections/sci-fi-gothic?sort_by=best-sellingbut more specifically this: ttcombat.com/collections/sci-fi-gothic/products/municipium-sector-2021-board-bundleComing in at 80 euros, approximately $110-120 ( exchange rate) You get pretty close to a full table worth of Terrain/ I have some of the laser cut wood style already and its really nice and easy to use. Great for taking a spray paint base and then putting in some details: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMRSt0tBgjU - a game on table top titans were they use the exact same terrain set but painted up Would there be any interest in: 1. Crowd source for personal use, get enough people together to get the free shipping out of the UK. You can use to do display boards or play at home and maybe help you take best table next year. 2. Increase tournament cost by 5$/player or reduce price pool total by $5/player to create a terrain fund where after a tournament or maybe save up over a couple and get some terrain in bulk and have volunteers to build them for nexus's back shelves and keep them at Nexus for general play. 3. Other suggestions

If this idea does end up going forward, I'd be game to throw a monetary donation at it. I don't have a space to play at home, so I'd be happy to fund some terrain where I do play.

Thanks it looks cool, but I think right now the $300 price tag vs $115 for close to the same thing might make it easier for us to fill nexus with some more terrain. Definitely a good set and resource for people who might want to upscale their tables.

The Xolk stuff is great, 3 of the ruined city packs come with multiple ruins I the set, depending on the size

Yeah that TTcombat stuff is super cheap. It is pounds so more like $130 cad I think, but it's probably the best deal I have ever seen.
I wonder where Ottawa tournament gets their terrain from. Maybe I will reach out to them.

I dont have a load of space at home for playing or storing terrain, so if people do start a fund, Id be willing to pitch in a bit as well towards it since the stores my primary place to play

Most of the Ottawa Canadian Tabletop Championship 40k terrain was from NEXA terrain or XOLK, both Canadian companies, I'm using Xolk and TT Combat bought from either direct or Canadian companies for the Bolt Action tournament.

I've got more than enough of my own at home, but I'd happily chuck a bunch of money at a fund to just load Nexus up with some more 9th edition friendly terrain.

Nexus would be happy to have more terrain on the shelves for sure. There's some pieces that don't work for 9th ed 40k sure... but there's alot of OTHER games played at nexus, so the terrain that's there is not exclusively for 40k.
If we want to supply a bunch of 40k terrain to augment what's there, I'm sure they would welcome the donation.

I'm definitely in favour of terrain that works for both sci-fi and fantasy settings. Some good LOS blocking stuff that isn't just bombed out city blocks would be a very welcome addition to the AoS tables.

According to some light internet sleuthing, the "official GW" terrain setups for their tournaments follow two maps. Those have already been shown here on the forums, but I've put them in below. The sizing on the blocks are: All Area Terrain 4x Large - 12"x12" - Scalable, Breachable, Light Cover, Defensible, Obscuring 2x Mid-size - 5"x10" - Scalable, Breachable, Light Cover, Defensible, Obscuring 4x Small - 4"x6" - Scalable, Breachable, Dense Cover, Defensible, Difficult Ground The only problem I have with their setups are to ensure that large models have the ability to get through said terrain without having to thread one and only one path from point A to point B. Do we sort through the terrain and have a few shelves specifically for 9th ed 40k stuff? Removing and/or re-labeling terrain is going to be a lot of work, but we don't really know how many tables worth of "official" terrain we have until we look and organize. Similarly, is it worth taking a bunch of the smaller building corners and gluing them down to some foamcore, heavy cardstock or thin mdf to create the 5"x10" or 4"x6" segments? Instead of reinvesting a ton of money and ignoring what's there, maybe trying to sort and organize pieces first would be a solid jumping off point? Attachments:
