I will go ahead and find that list of tactics and grand strats.
Are we using the rest of the battlepack stuff? Gally champs ect? Or are any missions/tactics that reference those just going to be for "non unique heroes of 6 wounds or less?"

vote ended up split, so I'm going with GHB... so essentially other than the priority roll (which overwhelmingly was voted against) and the army book tactics/strategies we're playing it as a more or less straight GHB tourney.

3/8 Battle Tactics require Galletian Champions.
This makes my Beastclaw Raiders sad.

It looks like 4 of the 8 Battle Tactics require Galletian Champions to score. And I think that two of those require at least two GCs doing something to score. I guess Sons of Behemat are out of luck.
Having played a few of the new Missions without the double-turn I think we need to examine the missions that allow the player going second to dictate objectives. That measure, I believe, was to mitigate double-turns or at least make it a decision. Now it’s a straight up advantage to the player going second. Something to consider?

distractedcarnifex Thanks for bringing this up. It a tough nut to crack with no priority roll. Brainstorming: - the "extra abilities" become random themselves. Player has to roll a dice, they can do it on a +4. - they're removed completely. - no change? - use priority roll I know this discussion has happened on a couple of other threads, and I don't want to re-engage it here. In the end the TO will make the call (not an enviable position) that will keep the player base excited to play. I'm happy with whatever.

Sons are basically screwed this GHB. Kind of an unfortunate side effect of playing the skew army. In a monster meta they are great. Any ruleset that pushes something else, and they basically don't get to participate.
I'd suggest allowing that one book access to faction battle tactics in this instance, except their book tactics are horrendous "pick your tactic, and roll a die to see if you get the points". So I'm not sure they would even want to use them.
I'd definitely second (third?) the call for a good look at the missions. I'm sure Shannon would consider it anyway, though. The last couple of GHBs have included mechanics to reward going second, or not taking the double. In a fixed turn order, where everything is predictable, there is a real advantage to knowing you will be in that position all game.
The irony here is that in these scenarios the single 50/50 dice roll at the start of the game skews things far more than rolling for priority each turn does.

Another feature of the battle pack is that the player going second gets to do 2 Heroic Actions in each Hero Phase (with a Galletian Champion) instead of just 1.
