Splitting my twenty-strong unit of Bloodletters into two units of 10 (giving me three units of ten) might also be the way forward to help me play the mission. Sounds like a plan! My army would very much prefer if you did not have a way to throw out 20 mortal wounds in one activation....

Thanks! As I recall, they were all close games, and I definitely enjoyed them. Your effective screening in this last game really limited my options. But I agree, the msu goats are definitely the lowkey mvps in the army. The bullgors and ghorgon are scary, but their real job is to try to remove something important and pull the action away from the objectives I want to hold. If I can draw my opponent's big hitters to one side, even if they murder mine, the goats can score the points and win the wars of attrition.
Shooting is always scary for the Beasts. I can definitely see how the cannons, in tandem with those bloodletters pumping out mortal wounds, would be a really tough matchup. I'll certainly think twice before I cast any spells next time too, haha.
