My list hasn't changed at all, so that's neat, though it's not suuuuper amazing. Gonna stick with it though.
C'Tan not going up is a bit wild, but that eldar change is *chefs kiss*. 6 fate dice is still good, especially with every unit getting two free rerolls a turn, but not as crazy as 12.

My Clubs list looks like it changes slightly, but not quite as dramatically as I'd anticipated. A couple changes balance each other out... I just have to find a few points but I might be able to swap a character for an assault intercessor squad to bring me to par again

It's funny to think that people were speculating that GW was delaying the dataslate to take LVO into consideration.
Then you look at AdMech and Necrons, see no changes, and realize this document was written weeks ago.

Army gets more expensive sounds good to me. Reduces the number of models I need to paint by champs.

Well Damage. “ Damage Characteristic: Where a Damage characteristic includes an operator (e.g. a ‘+’, as in D6+1), the value after the operator is part of that Damage characteristic – it is not a modifier.”
So that made C’Tan better….
I feel like this update was like, “ we said we would have something out on end January. So we better give something. “.
Riptide went down and crisis went up so you’ll likely see riptides again.
And units getting out of a transport from reserve still have to be 9” away.
Looks like hazardous tests were added to command reroll

I saw pointed out in the rules commentary that disembarking from a transport can’t trigger overwatch. Very excited about that! Electro priests getting cut down just for hopping out of their dunerider would be… unfortunate

a 55 point increase to my army. the increase of 20 pts / 3 inceptors is kind of expected with how well they do on scoring secondary / ignoring screens. kind of surprised with the aggressor nerf but that is par for the course with some of these decisions.

New dark eldar detachment looks fun... don't think it solves all their problems, but with that and the point drops they should squeeze into the "acceptable win rate band". I'm not totally surprised neurolictors got a point bump as they probably need to be more points than a lictor considering they're just better in every way! Likewise deathleaper getting a 10 point bump seems fair. Stop tempting me to put t-fexes back on the table there GW.
why did they ADD an ability to the nightspinner (-2 to charge rolls).. that seems weird while you're also nerfing the stupid thing at the same time. less fate dice is a welcome change, and phantasm change is pretty massive nerf!
I'm surprised at some things that got pretty much zero changes... like Szeras is fine at those points? really? I own him, and okay, I'll run him then if you insist... but I gotta admit, Ctan and Szeras should have bumped up a bit in points.
The daemons point drops are welcome, but I'm not sure that solves their problems either. (big guns delete your army and the little stuff all sucks except for nurglings which went up in points)
Will be interesting to see how this affects things.

A forty point increase to my army - guess I was taking good stuff. Scouts and Inceptors are very good, so I expected something. A Whirlwind clearly hurt someone at GW. Was toying with taking one but not at that points value.
As the Dark Angels points include the units we know are going to Legends I assume another MFM list will drop with the Codex (the article indicates that) and an FAQ after. Funny that they dropped the points on units about to disappear.
Overall, a light touch that will need another one to incorporate the LVO results. Or not?

Well my Drukhari went from unplayable with the old detachment to...a detachment literally FOR my army so I'm quite excited about that. My Vanguard Blood Angels list went up by a lot so back to the drawing board a bit. Kinda sad the meta internet bois also stumbled onto the same ideas as I did when I was building it, oh well. Kind of want to feel out +2 str +1 attack Blade guard with Lance, Lethal hits and Sustained and see how they do

the drukhari new detachment is real good... just watching an Art of War review on it... combo with the point changes and the change to pain tokens and I think there's a good solid army in there that reallly rewards player skill.

They toned down the CSM a bit too. the Accursed cultists went up in points, and are oc1 now, and only regenerate in the chaos players command phase ( no longer both players), and the dark community went up in points too, which is good ( not that I run those units anyways)
forgefiend, obliterators, warp talons and chosen went up again in points.
transports now have to share a Mark of Chaos with whom ever is riding in them now (so no more nurgle transports unless the unit inside is a nurgle mark too). and they changed the strat so that units with a mark of nurgle can't be targeted from 18" (used to be 12").
they also completely changed the profane zeal strat, it can now ONLY target units with an undivided mark, and it's reroll wounds. (used to be able to be any unit, reroll 1s to hit or wound, reroll everything if undivided) and this is the big one.
good changes but I feel it might be a bit much.
edit: the further ramifications of the transport amd Mark of Chaos is that I can no longer do cheeky things like have a 2x5man units in a rhino, like a unit of Legionaries(or chosen) w/ Mark of khorne with either a unit of havocs with Mark of tzeench/nurgle etc. same with the land raider. so looks like my land raider will be a khorne one rofl lethal hits w/ ma tank treds!!!
