For AdMech, this is a wait and see moment. I can't picture datasheets being changed under this, but fixing the army rule and possibly some detachments would help a bit.

I'm once again baffled by their reluctance to increase the point costs of the Lancer variants (besides Black Templars) or the Repulsor executioner...
Point drops in Thousand Sons feel weird, and mildly unnecessary; but the increase to the two enhancements that got hit feels right, after having used Lord of Forbidden Lore a bunch, it can get out of hand.
Chaos Knights largely staying as-is was nice from my opinion. They're still not great (similar to other monsters) because of the problems faced by big targets... with only a 3+ save and no invul in melee... and a really, really not useful faction ability, but until the codex, this is what we have, lol.
Necrons with some interestingly small point hikes on the C'tan. I'd have thought for sure the Transcendent was in for more than a 10 pointer, 40 for Nightbringer feels almost a bit too much, but not hideously so. Maybe 30? All of their wimpy support characters going up is a pretty feels bad though; considering how dependant on those characters they've made ALL of the units in the book. Without leading characters, I feel like Crons are going to fall a bunch of notches; and get shoved into a few odd skew builds now.
Surprised the regimental enginsser from Guard didn't get a hike, same as armored sentinels. Being able to bring that unit back is a really strong ability; hopefuly some more balance in the codex, but "Index: Guard Parking Lot" seems to be a continued strong theme with the decent breaks on almost all of the Russ variants.
Shannon is likely to be very happy with price breaks on... Zoans, swarmy and lictors, but all of their other monsters staying at the same point costs feels busted when compared to marine tanks, or other monsters who are actual melee threats.

well dropping a psychophage by 30 points may make me consider trying one again. maybe... not like anytime soon though...lol but at least they're not the same points as a haruspex now
10 points off 3 zoans? yeah no thanks... still WAY too swingy... and trust me I WANT to run them, I own 12
the point hikes on c'tan are totally warranted. I'm not even mad about that one lol

So super weird to me that they would drop a 1.8 now and NOT have the updated tau points in it. None of the new units are present for points and legend units are still there...with the codex dropping may 3rd surely it makes more sense to give the points now then putting out a 1.9 is 3-4 weeks.
Outside the weird Tau, thing. the MFM is a little bit misleading, a bunch of stuff says custodes and orks have points "dropping" but they are the exact same as they were in MFM 1.7, so I guess the codex point, which haven't dropped yet went up, then the MFM brings them back down to where they were?? Guard, Wardens and Terminators all say drop but are all the same as MFM 1.7. only trajann is down 10 pts which isn't enough.
Same with orks, it says battle wagons are down and trukks are up but in 1.7 battle wagons are still 160 and trukks are 65 which is what they are now.
The only actual change I see to Orks are: - flashgitz are down 15 to 80, since they lost support in badrukk and no key words - Nobz down 5 to 105, return to previous points - Beastboss down 20 to 80, returned to 80 from 100. Super good with the +1 attack and +1 damage enhancement - snikrot no point change but lone Op makes him an auto include at 85 - Hogs go sideways 3+ nob was 185 but nob gave +1 to hit, now 3+nob is 160 but no +1. - Squigboss sideways - -2T,-1W, -1 to FnP , re-roll charge to +1 to charge but -35 pt AND can lead hogs
Orks are looking fresh and I think some detachments might have a meta affect on the game. Orks are run a bunch of skew lists, can you kill 120 boyz who can da jump, can you kill 25+ vehicles, can you deal with a hog wall of 27 T7 4+/5++/5+++ 3/4W hogs?

Daemons not being changed at all seems a bit strange. They were in an okay spot but not great.
Necrons - well we expected that. The crypteks going up seems slightly spiteful but that's just me. The Ctan needed the points increase. Hypercrypt got hit hard though. Monolith, enchantment, Ctan and Immortals/Leaders. Awakened may be slightly better in comparison. Warriors not being changed sucks. I'm happy about the destroyer Cult going down. I love Skorpekhs and I'm probably going to run Annihilation Legion for crusade now.

Orks are looking fresh and I think some detachments might have a meta affect on the game. Orks are going to define the meta. Orks are also going to define the counter-meta. Wild times ahead.

Me and my friends exactly 1000 point learning lists have now both gone down to 960 points. Well, at least it's still balanced, hahaha.

The crypteks going up seems slightly spiteful but that's just me. They specifically mention in the video that they went after the crypteks because they were the problem in the units they went with (Technomancer in Wraiths was the example used). The idea being that the units were probably not worth of a nerf if the cryptek was not included.

I'm not even mad about that one lol While the points change for the psychophage may have it see the table the changes overall won't do anything to fix the problems of the Tyranids. Points alone likely won't as low level corrections to points won't solve the lack of threat the Tyranids provide. They have neither numbers nor punch to do what others easily achieve. While they have some scoring shenanigans that doesn't keep them alive long enough to often abuse it.
