Well we're almost at the 8 mark... but for us to do teams we'd need 16.... and I certainly want to get the arena moving... so lets have a cut off date of August 9th to submit your character...
I'm sure we can hit 16 characters to fight! (we've had more members than that online in the last 24 hours after all! - come on - let's see your characters!!!!)

Bob of Numas (Tomb King)
Brother of Antarhak of Numas famous prince of Numas. Bob always felt left out. His brother was a famous prince when he was alive and now a powerful tomb king. But Bob was just Bob, never commanded any armies or fought in any battles. Yeah sure he was trained but it seemed like his brother got to do everything. So one day Bob woke up and decided to go have an adventure. He took up his armour and shield, took the talisman his brother always told him to wear. Jumped on the chariot his brother bought for him for his birthday and "borrowed" his brothers favorite spear.

Total points 273

horns blared across the field from both sides as thousands of troops in hundreds of units reformed or moved into final positions in preparation for the coming battle. The forces before him were those of the vile Witch King himself. This was to be the battle to decide it all, to see who would rule from this day forth. Looking at the army arrayed before him, Corrathok Darr'Uthrak felt that he'd done well to side with Lord Diavilios. There was no chance that the Witch King could hope to thwart the forces arrayed against him this day. This would be the day the Witch King fell and a new King was raised to lead the Dark Elves to ultimate victory against all those who opposed them.
As the armies reached their final positions, a signal from Lord Diavilios was answered with deafening blast from all the horns from all the musicians in the army. It was a great sounding that shook the very ground. A shaking that was only intensified as the great host began marching towards the Witch King's own forces. Corrathok Darr'Uthrak laughed as he ordered his driver to move the chariot forward and began to envision the violence and slaughter he'd unleash...
Corrathok Darr'Uthrak - Dark Elf Master
Cold One Chariot Armour of Fortune (Hvy Arm w/ 5+ Ward) Deathpiercer (Lance w/ KB) The Other Trickster's Shard (Opponent re-rolls successful ward saves) Sea Dragon Cloak
total points = 249
Corrathok Darr'Uthrak was a Master in the army of Lord Loh'Karr Diavilios when he attempted to defeat the Witch King and take power for himself. It was during the ill-fated final battle that Corrathok, while riding in his chariot, was engulfed in a magically created spell storm. Upon being touched by the spell, he found himself transported far from Dark Elf lands and in some strange forest in some land unknown to him. It was while attempting to ascertain where they were that he came upon the ruins. He would have ignored them if not for the sudden whisper that filled his mind. A whisper that promised him great power if he was to but seek it out within the ruins. Without a second thought, Corrathok ordered his driver to take them into the ruins. The promise of power was one thing no sane Dark Elf could ever refuse...

Well who would be crazy enough to run one when they know your High Elf is there to chop them to bits on the first turn with your potion in hand As for chariots, I'd already talked to Shannon about using it as a test to see if they should be banned. The fact that taking one limits most people to either taking a naked Lord or going with the Hero slot and taking items to offset the lesser stats (as I had to) and the impact hits are random (great if you roll a 6, but not so good if you roll a 1) I don't see them being all the overpowering. Especially when you look at what most characters have item wise (everyone this round seems to have a ward save) they won't have that hard of a time sniping the character off the chariot.

maybe if we dont have enough for teams we could make it so we could make our own team of heroes with a lower magic limit
and our guy being the main hero/lord

teams are alot more work, and frankly I'm only going to sign up to that if there are enough actual people interested to warrant it... there's not alot of point in having people submit multiple characters in order to make the team thing happen... if we are short one or two people, I will likely make an NPC or two in order to allow the team based arena to take place...
besides, I haven't seen Kerry or Elizabeth's characters yet... and we only need 7 more to have a full arena!!!!
