Also, I'll probably be switching to Yu Jing.

Cool. I'll probably have both Steel Phalanx and Corregidor by the time Januray rolls in. Will you get Vanilla Yu Jing or a sectorial?

Most likely Vanilla. The two sectorials don't appeal to me at the moment.

for those that are interested I printed off and made a bunch of terrain for infinity. I am going to bring to the store and leave it in a box next time I am down. I finished painting my 300 points of PanO.
I thinking maybe we should run a 3 round 250 point tourny in March after everyone has played a few games. I think this would be a great way to generate some interest. I would even organize it.
Thoughts on this?
Patrick

There's actually a pretty good rule set for a beginners tourney set at 150 points. It has some rule restrictions and changes to allow completely new people to compete. After that moving up to 250 should be fine. So if people are up for it, and if there's enough interested we can do the beginner tourney in Jan or Feb, and then the March one.
If people want to run really competitive tourneys we can try and get ITS packages.

cool, I will look for that 150 tourney. It might be a good idea. Even if we just ran it ourselves on a Sunday.
I am all for it.

Sounds interesting, once I get a few games under my belt.

I just check this out and it seems to be a great idea. I like the 7 model cap and 150 points. It does limit the things that are harder to deal with but still leaves open stuff like TO camo. Anyway if we can drum up enough interest maybe we could do this up in Feb.
I think we could get about 6 people interested and maybe if we have a $5 entry fee we could have a couple small prizes.
Thoughts?

I think that's a good idea. I'm just debating as to what good prizes might be, as well as matches. I mean realistically we could do YAMs or just straight up kill scenarios for each round, but I'll ask the guy who hosted the one I posted about what he did specifically.
It's also worth mentioning that Impersonation and Sepstiors would also be banned for obvious reasons.

I like the idea of using YAMS as it gives a bit more to look forward to in terms of tactics.
In the tournament we could use YAMS but we would need to print off a bunch of sets. Or just one and photo copy a bunch. I mean whatever, it doesn't matter.
I say we start at 150 points and then work up to 300. You can't really slow grow this game but we could do an escalation type thing after we do a tourney. Then it gives everyone an idea of want they might want buy in order to bring their total up to 300.
I was kinda thinking about doing a small escalation like this;
week 1-2 150 week 3-4 200 week 5-6 250 week 6-8 300
its only 2 months and it builds quick.
Just an idea.

That should work, as long as everyone is fine with it. Then again it doesn't take much to make a 150 point list into a 300 point list.

It's also worth mentioning that Impersonation and Sepstiors would also be banned for obvious reasons. To Quote my some at roughly age four... 'aargh, you're killing my life...' But seriously yah, that seems reasonable. Also I will very much try to be in.

Printing things isn't a problem. I happen to know a guy who has access to high capacity printers
