Hey all
So I played a few games of Infinity and have about 250 points of PanO. I would like to see this game played a bit more often. So I was thinking that in January we could get this going. Warmahordes is on Fridays but its only ever taking up about 4-5 tables. There is still plenty of room for Infinity. I thinking that we could play this on the same night as Warmahordes. Another idea is every other week play Infinity. I like the idea of bringing both games because with Infinity we are only bringing about 10 models max. I would love to hear some thoughts on this. Maybe there are other Infinitty players out there that don't come out due to lack of players. Maybe we can change that.
Thoughts?

I'm still very interested in trying it out. May pick up a starter box over the holiday season.

Ya, Tim do it,
All the rules are free, so is the army builder. So look for a starter box and make your list. That way you know exactly what you are get into. I like them all. I can tell you that we have the following armies
Me- PanO Kiel -Combine Jeff - HaqqIslam Jay -HaggIslam Adam - Nomads
But don't let that stop you, play what you think is cool of course.

Sounds good Mike. I was thinking Ariadna anyway.
Question though, I see 2 "boxes" for Ariadna: ARIADNA: STARTER PACK and CALEDONIAN HIGHLANDER SECTORIAL. Does it matter which one I get? I like the look of the Caledonian dudes and didn't know how that worked exactly.

The starter set is just that is gives you a bit of everything. The other one is focused to a certain style of play. If you buy the starter you are better off, that way you can learn the game. If you buy the other box later you can combine them into a big force...LOL....10 models.

I don't know how many people are interested but I think that the 3rd of Jan would be a good time to start playing this more often. Maybe if we could get at least 4 to 6 of us playing every Friday it may take off.
Who's in?

Well I'm in of course, and yes the difference between the two boxes is based on content. Think of Sectorials like theme lists in Warmachine. However, they're all deadly and change playstyle drastically.

I'm in. I will still focus on Warmachine, but I would like to give Infinity a try now and then.

I'm still very much interested in trying this game out also, much like Tim I might try and pick up some models over/after the holidays.
Iv been reading the rules abit and been looking at Tohaa, most likely going to go down that road.

So what is a good point army, is 250pts the average game size? I know there never really many models.
Just to give me a ideas of what to aim for.

Point size ranges from 150-300 normally. The difference between the two values isn't that great depending on your point pool. You'll find that at lower levels you'll have a lot of line troops and maybe two specialized troopers. At 300 you'll likely be finding yourself replacing line troops with more specialized and heavy infantry. Unless of course you want to spam the board.
The maximum size a battle group can be is ten, but even at 300 points you can have fewer models than that. It's best to remember that Infinity also allows for heavy proxying.
In regards to the Tohaa, they are definitely a neat race. They're still releasing models, but they're definitely the most detailed and intricate as a product line.

I'd like to join in starting in January. I was there last week and met up with Mike, Kyle and Tim, I think. I play Haqq at the moment but I'll probably grab some other factions in the near future, as there are already a couple Haqq players. I'm eyeing Corregidor and the Steel Phalanx.
What magictripe said about army size and point cost seems to be on the nose. Most official tournament games are played at 300pts, but even at 200 you can start to field specialists and fireteams.
