From Faeit... seems like salt is required...
"Rumors are abound today that the Endtimes Book III will involve a united Elves, as the world is being rearranged and destroyed as we now know it. In this set we hear whispers of an upset Lord Mazdamundi and the possibilities of a new model. And then there is The Endtimes: Widowmaker.
Please remember that these are rumors.
via an anonymous source on Faeit 212 As always take with a pinch of salt, but this info came from very reliable sources.
There will be an upcoming release called Widowmaker, but my source could not confirm whether or not this is an end times novel or big book like Nagash.
Whatever it is called, the third end times book will follow the elves, Malekith and Teclis forced to join forces to stem the tide of chaos from the polar gates.
What my source also made very clear is that Malekith and Teclis's plans directly contradict the great plan of the Lizardmen. Mazamundi (who will apparently get a model) is greatly displeased. Suffice to say the map of the old world won't look the same afterwards.
Again, take with a pinch of salt but I take my source to be very reliable. Only time will tell."

Look at the bottom:
"The flames await the phoenix, but the dragon stands against him."

People on ulthuan.net are trying to decipher the meaning of that line. So far people are thinking something along the lines of Imrik or Caledor stopping Tyrion from taking the Phoenix Throne, but there are plenty of other interpretations as well. Looking forward to hearing more and salivating over new elf stuff!

I think it means that the phoneix and dragons now hate each other so if included in the same army list they automatically just fight one another instead of your opponnent....

Might have to get this even though I haven't played Fantasy in ages...I've got every other piece of Elf lore. Obviously this will get messy as hell. I just hope it doesn't end with Malekith alone in charge....

It has me interested again too for pretty much the same reasons. Also it would give me a chance to field my Malekith on foot again (I would hope)

I gotta say, the end times has really invigorated this game... if I had more disposable income I'd be actually throwing a good portion of it at WHFB right now...
...but alas this is only the start of year two of the "it'll only be this financially tight for two years" new house plan... lol

more news... and a pic! "This week the Endtimes are back for book 3. The Endtimes Khaine is a two book set with one dedicated to background and a much smaller book with the rules dedicated to those the elves. Now a new leaked image is out showing off the cover this weekend's White Dwarf. Here is where you can see the cover. With the cover out, I am sure that more will be coming soon to get a better look at what the new book will have in it. 3.bp.blogspot.com/-0VnLGJkNpqM/VGqL62KqFII/AAAAAAAAX00/-eNqa-0FXy4/s1600/IMG_20141118_005856.jpg"

Love the old model getting the spotlight. Also, Phoenix Guard don't follow ANYONE around unless Asuryan wills it, so either Malekith did something very unexpectedly good, or Tyrion did something VERY VERY bad for those guys to be anywhere near him without swinging halberds at his head.
I hope Caradryan gets full on possessed and speaks....that'd be fun.
Also, no hints/images about what mommy dearest is up to....wonder if she throws in with Chaos, or latches on to Tyrion if he does draw the Widowmaker. She was always a sucker for power.
As for the game itself, hearing that new magic rules are coming out, and seeing some of these new condensed army lists, I feel really tempted to try it out again...I just don't feel inclined to spend $600-$800 when I barely have time to play 40k as it is. Depending on the outcome though, a tiny display army might be fun to put together.

Games Workshop has a new secret message up today from "What's New Today" regarding the Endtimes Khaine. "The cast of players will assume their roles. Only through their sacrifice will Isha’s children be saved." www.games-workshop.com/en-US/blog/blog.jsp;jsessionid=81EFF9582B5FC8605F5943FE2B5A1995Scroll down to the bottom of the page and highlight after it says "little johnny can come back in the room now" to see the message for yourself

For easy reading of the important parts (SPOILER ALERT):
The third instalment in the End Times series, Warhammer: Khaine, is divided into two volumes. The first is the sweeping story of the Elven race as the face the greatest war ever known. The second is a rules book loaded with new army lists for the Elves during the End Times, new rules for magic in the end times, and scenarios that recreate the key events in the intense civil war described in the story. It also has profiles and rules for principal heroes, including: Maleketh, the Eternity King, Tyrion, Avatar of Khaine, and Imrik, Crown Prince of Caledor.
With amazing changes to how magic works in the End Times, the Magic Phase is about to get much more dangerous, and a harrowing story that cuts right to the heart of the world, this book is a must have for every fan of Warhammer, pointy-eared or otherwise. In Warhammer: Khaine the bloodiest feud in the Warhammer world is settled, for good or ill.
