Well, at least eldar players can have something to whine about now that isn't getting alpha struck by their exact list.

My biggest concern with these would be leaving too many points off of the table early on. I'd be really tempted to drop in one or two with mid-priced MC's or Hive Guard, and then a couple with tiny Gaunt units just purchased to unlock the pod.

oh and apparently the new pod is as tall as a wraithknight... according to someone with the new kit on Faeit seriously look at this picture: www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/Tyranid-Invasion-Web-Bundlelooks about three times the size of the new monster kit... apparently uses a new 100mm round base... I'm serious these things are enormous!

Well, good thing they have that drop pod rule about deep striking then yeah?
Also it makes sense for them to be big since they can carry a Monsterous Creature.

I just realized you can now get five zoans in a brood instead of the current max size of three...and then upgrade one to doom... and put them all in a pod... ...good luck with one shotting doom with that missile... did I mention he has four bodyguards with a 3+ invul that are warp blasting you?

At least he has to cast it now, he can eat his own brain.

At least he's not the Doom....It's still a nice power, but so much worse than before. Has to be cast, has to HIT, only hits one unit instead of being a nova, doesn't happen on my turn. He's still solid, but I'm not horrified by him anymore.

and he also doesn't get wounds stacked up on him, which was pretty annoying to deal with too... I think he's a must-include if you run zoans given the synergy of adding dice for warp blast (and four zoans plus new-doom are putting out the spirit leech on one unit, then four lances into a tank!) as it adds a lot of versatility to the unit for a extremely small cost (half of what he used to cost!)
luckily I just so happen to have four zoans and a doom model... mwuahahahahahahaha!!!!!

See, I think the good thing is that Doom is a bit more fair now. Before he was just absurd with incredibly broken rules. I mean, he might still be fairly annoying or difficult to remove but atleast he isn't completely removing any and all low leadership units he lands near.
But now he acts more as a funnel for warp charges to a brood of Zoan's who will blast the crap out of tanks or other targets like that.
