This is what shannon says: Game 1 500 pt kill teams Game 2 1000 pts must include everything from the kill teams Game 3 1500 pts must include everything from two games before Game 4 2000 pts must include everything from three games before

Can't commit yet, taking too much time off for wedding stuff in December so I'm going to have to leave it up to chance. Here's hoping.

questions. normal kill teams as in models will get universal special rules right?
Now those special rules will be lost for the rest of the games right? as in even those it says you must use the models from the kills teams game, there wont be a random model with rending in a unit right?

I'm still on the fence about the USR's... but if they're going to happen, then no, they would definitely NOT carry over to subsequent rounds....
it was mainly to have the ascending point values (which let us get in a fourth game in the tourney)
And as always in our Santa tourney, admission is a small fee combined with a small gift... secret santa, everyone gets at least one prize!

Sounds like a ton of fun, I'm looking forward to it. A bit worried that 500 points under the individual model kill-team rules might bog down a bit in terms of play time though....some lists could end up with 60+ models on the board.

Quick question for the 500 pt kill team build, I know for the 200 pt we played 1-2 troops, 0-1 elite, 0-1 fast. With the increase from 200 pt to 500 pt do we open up 0-1 heavy choice to help fill in some point gaps? Assuming all other rules stay the same, no more than 2W / 2HP, no 2+, no HQ etc?

I'm actually thinking more about this.. and the Kill Teams rules per se won't work at 500 points. The first game was meant to be quick, as king of a fun add on to the regular three games of the day... but I don't think they will be at double the points as the system will just bog down.
So I'm leaning actually towards 500 point "small game" so basically using a regular old rules etc.
game 1 - 500 points game 2 - 1000 points game 3 - 1500 points game 4 - 2000 points
each level must include all the models before it.. so even at the 2k list, your original 500 points is in there.

I think that sounds much more manageable. 500 point games can be a lot of fun, and tricky to figure out what to include in your first 500!

Ya I think that 500 pt mini game is the way to go.
