I think he'll survive longer than you think. With that 3+ and being a single small base model he should be able to sprint through cover and dig into an assault fast.

It's just a 3+ save and since it's toughness 3 he'll take wounds so easily it wont matter. 3 Wounds with a 3+ save aint nothin to write home about. Especially since he's got no armour save. 20 guardsmen flashlights would pretty much almost be enough to kill him assuming completely statistical rolls here. If they have FRFSRF or 12" or both he's guaranteed to die by pure math-hammer.
It's really really not hard to kill 3 space marines, and this guy has less toughness than them. If an army spends any anti-infantry shooting towards him which it probably should he's toast before turn 2.

if you're standing out in the open with a single model that can be easily hidden from sight, who ignores terrain and can super move anytime you want him to, so that 20 guardsmen can shoot him, it's not his fault.
this unit will be extremely deadly in the hands of a tactical player who can use terrain to their advantage. Look how annoying a character with mantle of the laughing god is to take out... even though they're a single model with no eternal warrior or having an invulnerable save.

All valid points, and for what he does, he's a damn steal at his point cost. If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times... F-in pointy-eared space faeries...

Space faeries = finesse. So he's going to be hard to play but a huge pain when utilized properly.

from Faeit: Wow, does that image from the video look like a potential codex cover or what? Notice the Venom-like vehicles that are most likely the new skyweavers? Very cool. A lot is going on today, including pre-orders for the new Harlequin models, hints of more kits to come, and a release video from Games Workshop. check out the latest. Harlequin Orders are Up www.games-workshop.com/ Harlequin Troupe $40 Solitaire $26 Hints of More Plastic Kits to come! via a reader on Faeit 212 this paragraph from the Harlequin Troupe description on the GW website mentions other kits: "There is a huge amount of variety for both posing and choosing weapons options and all of the components in this kit are fully interchangeable with the other Harlequin plastic kits." This implies there are more Harlequin kits on the way (as we know from the rumors). It will be interesting to see what they are. from Faeit:
"Two rumors from two separate sources talking about this week's releases. Starting off with a little Harlequin Jetbike information followed up by someone confirming the codex release is this week.
Please remember that these are rumors. The first comes from a source I have heard from before, while the second comes from a reader who was told the codex release will come this weekend. Also so you dont have to look it up, the Harlequin Troupe box costs $40, so that is what the source is saying the bikes will cost you. via an anonymous source on Faeit 212 I can confirm Harlequin jetbikes are coming in the next white dwarf The bikes come in packs of 2, and are described as being well armored, really fast, and they have models on them with multiple weapon load outs. Also the price is the same as the Harlequin Troupe box. via a second anonymous source on Faeit 212 The codex will be Fridays pre release confirmed by a GW store manager the the other day. "

Also something new on the list and I am not quite sure what it is, called Dark Hunters: Umbra Sumus. (just figured out its a black library release) Here is a link to see the full cover from Warseer i.imgur.com/VLaLeok.jpg Also of importance is no codex looks to be on this list. via an anonymous source on Faeit 212 ****also in the comments section nighfury adds: Next week: new death jester and the starweaver transport ship*****

hmmm $48 for a couple of these doesn't seem so unreasonable price wise for the size of them...
... that just shows I'm now immune to GW prices doesn't it?

Well, $48 for 100 points worth of Jetbikes with fancy guns is still better than $47 for a 35 point rhino and a storm bolter ...

True enough Matt... maybe that's why when I looked at the price I thought "not bad at all" more from Faeit - codex (finally!) next week! Little bits of Harlequin information are still out there, as more and more people this week have access to the White Dwarf. It looks very possible that we will see a codex next week. This sounds like he is reading parts of the next White Dwarf, but I was not 100% positive. Thought I would relay the information, as it seems it was being ignored for the most part. Take it as a rumor until we get more information. via Neckutter on Warseer On sale February 14th, "Harlequin Masques" are for sale along with harlequin heraldry. Sounds like the codex is for sale on that day, and the painting guide as well. Harlequin Masques are what the army is referred to.
