just noticed, / was informed. that the ghostkeel wording is a little weird and i read it wrong. It does say models with the snap shotting thing can use it. but then is says the unit declares they are using it to make the enemy snap shoot. so it may be that you can only use it one per game, per unit. no matter how many you have in a unit sad panda lol

nah I think the unit here is a bit of a bait. that many MC in a unit will just get targeted by all the D weapons, Knights, Grav-Cent etc. I think you are better running double CAD and taking more if you need the slots. I' assuming it will be fast attack but could be Elite. Also I kind of like the idea of the heavy 6 S7 gun, throw sky fire on him and camp your table edge with intercept. You are hard to move from the table and flyers won't be trouble with that much S7.

leaked pictures show it's elite... which hopefully stealth suits get moved then to fast attack, the elite slot is just way too crowded for tau..

Elite slots tend to get crowded in the xenos codices unfortunately

Ya the Elites are getting really crowded. Riptide, Shadowkeel, Crisis, Stealth, not sure how that's going to work. Hoping for some formations or slot changes to help get all the goodies without having like double and triple CAD.

Well every xenos has at least one slot crowded like crazy. Eldar fast attack for instance, hawks, spiders, hunters, wraith fighters, vypers, are all super viable choices the only thing people don't take is the shining spears.

Interesting looking unit. I can't say I'm sold on them getting much play - they have to be SO close to get any benefit above a pulse rifle, and are significantly worse than one at average engagement ranges. Still, a squad in a Devilfish could be a nice little reactionary force against podding marines or whatnot given the cheap cost for damage output if they CAN get within 5".

Ya like if you were going to put a unit in a devil fish for close up the why not these guys just incase you get close.
But I think my horde of normal fire warrior would be better lol

These guys don't have that "fireteam" special rule.

True. We don't know what "fireteam" does so maybe they don't need it.
I like the deployable turret drones idea. It says it can be a missile pod or a smart missile system.
Finally tau can add a middle launcher to their troops. A could str 7 would be might with the str 5

Yikes... 15" max range on a gun that can not be switched out of any other option. Having a flat S5 AP 5 at 30" all the time seems better then the look out close range here we come. Yes Overwatch will be great until every one just stops a nice 6" away and makes that safe charge. Unless the devilfish has gotten significantly better or cheaper I feel like fire warriors will be back on shelves collecting dust. Paying 80+ points for a tank shell to get your T3 troops to well within change range seems like a very poor idea. Also since in its current version tau don't have an assault vehicle so the EMP gernades are kind of lost on them. The 5+ invul is really neat and would work wonders if you could camp 12 of them on back field and out range most stuff....but ya at 15" it seems like too little too late. I have to think unless Kroot see a big nerf the Kroot still hold top spot in the troop choices. BUT...BUT the models looks really cool!
