Legions would tie so nicely into the BaC box too Right?? I'm so tempted to just play my Word Bearers in 30k games now, and use the space Marine codex in 40k games from now on.

Well, here's hoping this isn't too salt worthy...
Chaos Space Marines are coming in 2016 It is in Q3-4. It is a major release window – miniatures-wise. Look for at least 5 new boxes, including at least 1 set of plastic Cult Marines. It will be tied into a multipart campaign series (as we saw with the Tau). The codex will be updated, but it is unknown if this is simply a update for new units as Tau received, or a major overhaul. You may remember the previous set of talk from Warhammer World teasing out CSMs last week…
“Chaos Returns” According to Warhammer World Now there has been chatter for a year now of Thousand Sons coming but there has also been a fairly robust set of talk saying that CSMs were coming in 2017. Adepticon is kicking out multiple sources pointing in the same general direction of a late 2016 release for the CSMs.
Which indicates to me that GW may be moving them up in the release schedule for some unknown reason. The CSMs are generally considered to be a very popuar release faction that strongly drive sales. I’ll leave it up to you to figure out why GW might want to move them up from 2017 to 2016.

Shannon, by now you should know I'll grasp at any straw pertaining to Chaos. They're my main army.

Then you should play Age of Sigmar... Chaos is pretty universally awesome in that system!

This displeases me greatly. If Crimson Slaughter and Black Legion are getting reprints, that points pretty hard in the direction of the current CSM book staying....current. Joy.

most earlier rumours that were reliable were saying the base csm codex will remain until 2017

It says formations but my gut tells me it's either gonna be guard-esque(stupid amount of models) or just repacks of like the helcult or something.

The Hounds of Abbadon make me happy, and hopeful for more cult formations. Free marks is pretty awesome, even without anything else.

Grav cents? More like Stormsurge. stormsurge? More like D-scythes
the applications are endless for Tau/Eldar to get a really rude awakening at 30" range from ONE of the sorcerers...lol.. nasty, nasty nasty - oh and trouble casting it? not likely with free dice that don't count against WC limit from each sorcerer within 12"! So given the five bonus dice you could have fairly easily, this is kind of a go to guaranteed spell every turn!
