ok so dont have to worry about a CAD of knights. good to know Not to mention their only named character is Gerantius and he can't be your warlord, says so in his rules. good to know. I missed that, figured there be a Gerantius + 2x 375... hits 1250 on the nose and would suck hard to play vs.

I'm actually really excited for this. Unfortunately next weekend is probably a no go for games (due to kingcon), and then it's St pattys the weekend after, so probably not too many practice games will be happening with lists. However I will be trying to play my list a tonne in those few days we will have since I'm going to field an entire new army

...given there's a MTG event AND a warmachine/hordes event happening Saturday I wouldn't count on any tables being available this weekend unfortunately...the 19th is the AOS tourney as well (although it will likely only use 6-7 tables)

Interesting tourney. I think it may be time to break out the nids again. Swarmlord or deathleaper? Hmmm...

okay... the post on the Nexus site is up: kingstonnexus.ca/events/warhammer-40k-the-great-crusade/however it would appear that they aren't doing pre-signups for this... you just show up... ...sigh... that'll help me know how many scenarios to print out and tables to set up won't it?

I've got it on my calendar, so I'm as of now planning on coming. What's the painting requirement for this?
Edit: wow, I sure can read real gud. Thanks Justin.

this is a 1,250 point tourney. There is no painting requirement. Four games throughout the day. Hurray! Not that I won't attempt to paint.

It's the format to be honest. It appeals to the storyteller in me.

The stories of 4 riptides and 3 fire raptors will be "fun". Guess I need to seriously consider my fluffy Blood Angel list I was originally considering.

The people who decide to bring super unbalanced lists can do as they wish. It's meant to be a fun tournament, if you are going to play to be cut throat like then you can do as you wish, not why I'm playing in this one.

I wouldn't worry about it... if some people try to power game it, they'll be playing each other all day. apparently some people missed the memo on this one... it's not supposed to be Ard boyz at 1250
I'm bringing a fluffy fun list and just having fun trying to come up with lists for all my armies.

So I have to ask, are we looking for for an ITC style mission or just flat book mission for this. I'm having trouble wrapping my head about a good Ork CAD without knowing if I should be planning maxium mobility for maelstrom scoring or durability to grab stuff at the end of game?

you don't like surprises?
This isn't an ITC event. Does that help?
you will have missions to achieve every scenario... all themed appropriately to the event, centering around your great crusade and how to make it awesome.
You'll need mobility, endurance, killing power and scoring.
