Something I thought I'd confirm before showing up for this one - Will these games be played on 6x4 tables? I often see events under 1500 drop down to 4x4.

I like the idea of the smaller boards!

I'd prefer 6x4 for this I only usually like 4X4 on games of 1k or less

I enjoy the idea of smaller boards personally - encourages the action to get up close and personal.

I echo the majority, 4x4 tables seem more suitable to the point level. The practice games I played on 6x4 tables were a bit too sparse.

I favour 6x4 above 1000 points. Less space penalizes any infantry heavy army such as AM, Ork, and bugs feeling it the worst in most cases.

It's interesting, I have always found the opposite to be honest - that more space under 1500 points pushes things a ton in the favour of long ranged vehicle/MC armies, as there's way more room to dodge around and shoot before anything can catch up in to range.

I would be fine with whatever the majority chooses . Taking a bit of a mixed bag as far as shooting goes. Lots of 18" to 24", not much farther than that.

seems fairly split in what people would prefer... some for 6x4 and some for 4x4
personally I think there's still the possibility of fairly large armies at this point level, especially with the requirement of single CAD. Sure, two elite armies facing off (Grey knights vs. MC bash for example) are not going to have much on the table. Nids vs. Orks though - not sure 2500 points (between the two) are going to cram into that size board very well and give any ability for tactical deployment.
If we were talking less than 1k, I'd agree that 4x4 is the way to go for certain. 1250... not so sure that would be fair to everyone.

Counterpoint to that, how fair would it be to those elite armies vs say, Tau or Eldar on a 6x4?
Eldar more so because they can pull a rapid re-deployment, ensuring they never get touched by the grey knights.
Maybe a compromise of a 5x4 would work.

I say 7'6" by 3'. Throw everyone off.

Well psycannons would hit midfield just like now and tear those bikes a new one. Plus the grey knights would have a huge advantage with less mishap potential on gates. so it can go both ways like always.
Tau are going to be deployed the same as Tau deploy, with the majority of their army at the back edge, which is the same whether it's a 4x4 or 6x4 unless it's hammer and anvil. (hint - I don't put much hammer and anvil in my one day tournies... it's barely at the club championships)
I've basically talked myself into an answer I see... so the response to what size the tables will be is 6x4
