What's good is it looks like grav is gonna be useless against him, what with his invul save and all. There was also some mention about his save getting better in A Tsons detachment

With that primaris Tzeentch power he's rocking the 2++ rerollable super easily too...
Not that it matters here, but brutal at GTs.

yup... 2++ rerollable easy, all his powers, crazy statline, formation bonuses from whatever that tsons detachment is... basically immune to grav....
very likely some of his powers are malefic...
... cursed earth in a giant bubble around him?
oh man... just nasty....

Magnus won't have to fight any superheavies he doesn't want to... hes a FMC.... and a psychic monster.... He'll for certain have FNP, eternal warrior etc. and we already know a 4+ invul rerolling 1's. He can just fly around IK and WK and just either psychic blast them to oblivion, or if he's feeling fighty, he will buff himself up with one or two of his 15 powers (hell, what about iron arm and warp speed?) and utterly destroy anything he touches. They'll never get to even swing.. and even if they do... good luck getting through those defenses. Why not make him a GMC? .... cuz he might have a kickass shooting attack to overwatch with? .... cuz GMC's might be changing a bunch in 8th or more likely .... cuz if he was a GMC you'd bet he'd be banned from all tournaments everywhere and people wouldn't get to use him I was talking it over with Matt and I came to the conclusion that he’s going to be pretty beast but as a GMC would be over the top. For mainly the reasons you stated above. He might even get a version of stomp as he’s, you know; god damn huge. EDIT: I’m wondering if Daemon Primarch Magnus will be in the new traitor legions codex and if he is… then what if there’s other Daemon Primarchs in there… like Mortarion, or Perturabo…

The predominant rumor I've been seeing is that they plan to release 8 primarchs in total, 4 for traitors, 4 for loyalists.

For the loyalists though, couldn't they just take the FW models and do them in plastic?... Doesn't really make sense as they're not Daemon Primarchs that have been swollen to crazy proportions by the chaos gods.

Fateweaver has seen the future and the future may be two units of tzaangors a cheap hq and magnus joining his army.
Depending on what i get for Christmas (ie nexus gift cards fingers crossed) and how the rules work with my tzeentch daemons.

On the Community Page this morning
Exalted Sorcerers
Each one is more powerful than a Space Marine Librarian, and rightfully so, these warrior mystics are steeped in 10,000 years of Warp-acquired arcane lore, and each is the master of a dread Silver Tower of Tzeentch. In the game, an army with a few Exalted Sorcerers is going to dominate the psychic phase, especially alongside the Aspiring Sorcerers that lead every Thousand Sons squad of Rubric Marines. They have a few options, from Discs of Tzeentch to a range of new Artefacts, and they are included in several Formations that further augment their magical supremacy.
Rubric Marines The basic troops of the Thousand Sons (if such a term can be used), each is a walking suit of ancient armour compelled by the vengeful spirit of its former occupant…and a bit of dust. There are quite a few changes to this unit’s rules, not least of which are their, now expanded, weapon options. As you might expect, all of these are in some way sorcerously-powered, from the warpflamers that the entire squad can be equipped with (!) to the deadly soulreaper cannon, which can mow-down even power armoured foes with ease.
Scarab Occult Terminators Still bearing the name they took during the Great Crusade 10,000 years back, the elite of the Thousand Sons are – if anything – more deadly than when they still drew breath. The unit has inferno combi-bolters as standard, but can be further boosted with heavy warpflamers, soulrepaer cannons and hellfyre missile packs, making them one of the most deadly ranged units available to a Chaos Space Marines player. The Sorcerer leading the unit is a powerful psyker in his own right (note: not an Aspiring Sorcerer, a full on bona-fide Sorcerer). With a Mastery Level of 2, and access to 11 psychic disciplines, he adds a lot of flexibility to how this squad can function in your army. And that’s only the start – also in the book are new detachments and Formations, psychic powers, Warlord Traits, artefacts, objectives, missions and more. All these new models, and the new Wrath of Magnus book, are available to order tomorrow morning, wherever you are in the world.
Change, as they say, is coming.
Let’s look at this line from the Scarab Occult Termies… “the elite of the Thousand Sons are – if anything – more deadly than when they still drew breath” did they make Scarab Occult Termies… Rubric Terminators? My interest level is pretty high right now to say the least. Still hopeful for some cool new rules that bring the Sons back to the table.
