Thoughts on what Rapid Fire will mean, now that TL is pretty much a super version of rapid fire?
Now meltas melt everything. Neat change, very deadly. Much simplified now.
Squeezing both triggers for combi weapons is hilarious. I'm glad I haven't assembled my 10 Sternguard yet! Gives me some time to figure out what I want on them.
Maximum damage a battlecannon can now do is 18 wounds. But you gotta be hella lucky to do it. Roll a 6 for shots, 4+ to hit, and then 5+ for 3 wounds per hit. Average is closer to 4 wounds (3-4 shots, 2 hit, average of 2 damage per hit)

well my soul grinders just got a LOT more deadly with their battle cannons!!!
twin linked heavy bolters are going to be crazy good....
combi weapons are WAY better and make more sense!
the melta seems cool... an extra -1 to the lascannon AP and in half range take the better of two dice for damage... deadly and thematic... I like.
One of the earlier posted mentioned rapid fire is the same I believe....

Feeling happy I put double plasma on my crisis Suits. Tl one and standalone on the other is a lot of Daka, if plasma stays the same.

I have to say, reading some of the comments on the community page really makes me laugh and be happy that we’re all being fairly reasonable about what we’re seeing from 8th. Side note: I also love the level of snark that the managers of the community page are operating at. They’re destroying the naysayers.

Right when the post went up, they had a line in there saying "Twin linked weapons will now get double the shots at half range!" They edited out the half range bit and made TL'd even better.

Talking about Orders ( You have 7 to choose from, but the one I want to discuss is ‘First Rank, Fire! Second Rank, Fire!’. This now makes a unit of Astra Militarum infantry treat their lasguns and hot-shot lasguns as Rapid Fire 2; that’s 4 shots per Guardsman at half range!) I am starting to feel that by all these FIXES. That games are going to go by quicker. There is a lot of firepower now from standard weapons. Tactics and positioning of your men (or women) is going to be crucial

super excited to see everything else - rubrics really seem solid! those warpflamers.... eep!
