over on the facebook page alot of people are losing their minds... it's a pretty funny read (not that I read ALL of the hundreds of comments)
.....apparently alot of people are pissed off the codex rules are being invalidated....

Which happens all the time, everytime a new codex comes out. The way I phrased it was if you miss the codex so much, just tape the new "warscroll" over the unit index.

I'm just hoping that they don't remove anything that Traitor Legions put into place. You know....like that army I played for the first time last night.

30k will continue to use the old rules too, which I really like. 7th works when Monstrous Creatures, D weapons and psychic powers are limited by default based on the armies available, and AP 2 weapons aren't absolutely anywhere.

Ya seems weird that there is belly aching over invalidated codex when they are giving out the free base rules AND doing a generals handbook to get every one on the same page from the start.
I mean Alissa and I have only been playing since 2013 and have like 6 out of date codex already when playing only 3 armies...thats pretty crazy turn over...

The books are still totally valid for all the backstory, pics and basically everything you need to create a cool themed army...

I have been out of the loop for a while but weren't people always up in arms that their Codex was 1+ editions out of date? It seems like this might be a big reset rules wise and it only makes sense to have every start fresh on the same page. I just hope they don't keep edition hopping every three years and go to a more organic system of live updates like Warmahordes as done in their new edition.

all rumours I've heard has said they're going to do the AOS model... so basically free rules, and a "general's handbook" cheap update book every so often
