yah, pop that command point on a unit of 20 next to an autarch, get it back on a six. Hitting on 2, re-rolling 1's, 5+ is bladestorm (if bladestorm procs on a 6+)

Blade storm is to wound. But 40 shots hitting on 2s re-rolling is probably about 38 hits and of that you'll get average 6 blade storms. Add to that against a marine unit another 13 wounds vs a marine and suddenly you have quite a few dead models. And the guardian invul will really help for the delivery

Until they get death hexed and no longer have an invulnerable save. I do agree though that it will help with delivery in 90% of situations.
Glad that there's some xenos love with the codices. Maybe now you can stop whining lol.

Except how many people will think to pre-emptively cast death hex? They don't get the invul until the shooting phase.

Anyone seeing you jamming a 20 man unit of guardians right up the middle of the board.
Heck. Even making it a "Sophie's Choice" situation between a few units would work. Games are won with control and forcing decisions you want people to take vs allowing them to make the right ones.
Sorry for the sideboard. Woo Eldar, maybe this will bring my buddy Alex back to 40k depending on how Nuadhu's boys fare this time around.

Biel-tan is looking super strong. Just wave serpents, dire avengers, Avatar and then some aspects of choice.
It is super strong on paper, a unit of 11 dire avengers and a farseer seems really good.

10 is max on units of aspect warriors. Still super strong and advancing wave serpents with twin shuriken cannon and shuriken cannon underling will be vicious and extremely difficult to kill.

seems pretty decent... and the bikers having no penalty for moving with heavy weapons is pretty good too.

I am concerned that the article says there is a major point reduction in bikes AND scatter lasers. I mean they wont be troops but bikes being back in the 25 pt range there is more likely to be spam. Or even the cheap bikes with 4 shot catapults seem nasty.

I’m not surprised by anything GW does with Eldar to be honest; I’m going to try to be optimistic about what they’re doing to point costs though if it turns out that they’re 25 points (before weapons) that’ll be a decent slap in the face to my Death Guard at 19 points/body. Feels like they’ll be the new anti-Ork/Guard horde with their mobility and volume firepower; hopefully not the “anti-everything” like they used to be.

Seems like mixing craftworlds is going to be a solid option with this book.

well to be fair, it's just the changes to the damage chart which toned down scatterbike spam to begin with.
not wounding most things in the game on 2's is a BIG deal, and that part isn't changing. With AP on so many weapons and no more jink, combines to make scatbike spam just not very appealing in the least. No obsec just makes it even moreso.
When something goes from the basis to every list to non-existent you know something major happened!
EDIT - mixing craftworlds would only be an option if you take a detachment of each... sure it's easy enough to do... but not as easy as "this is my detachment - and I have four craftworlds contained within!"
