I like the 44”. But it says minimum. So. Do what you want. What I find odd though is combat patrol games have a minimum of 44” x 30”. But their First example of a mission for combat patrol is obviously played on a bigger map looking at the map layout. I might be nip picking here but it is odd.
i suppose you could have a 6” deployment zone...

So... Would the community at the Nexus be switching to these sizes, or will disregard the guidelines and keep the current table sizes?

I imagine that Nexus is going to be keeping the same sizes of tables/game mats because they might be bigger than the minimum suggested (at least as far as I know).
After all, it isn't just 40k people play there.

6x4 will be standard sizes for tournies etc. If you wish to use a different size for a friendly game do what you want of course.

So according to the community site they're going to be showing off a grab-bag of 9e rules previews along with some War of the Spider stuff this week.
And on the 13th they'll be unveiling the 9e box set. Should be interesting to see if it matches up to the leaked images.

I'll be looking forward to the rules previews. Not really interested in the starter though.

Will depend on how much of a deal said boxset is. In that number of models (particularly new ones) versus cost.

I'll likely end up wanting a copy of the rules, from the boxed set, when it lands (far cheaper than the hardcover (which, let's be honest, has about 2 dozen pages of actually useful information) I suspect more than one of you will have a spare copy laying around after buying a couple copies of the boxed set.

Hoping it will be a box with the full rulebook... and yeah I don't expressly NEED more models... but you know... having a huge pile of unpainted plastic I'll never get to is kinda my thing...lol

The rules are also the only thing that interest me about the box set. I have my AdMech, so have no need for Space Marines or Necrons. Although I think it would be funny if GW pulled the rug out from under everyone and made the box set completely unexpected, like Dark Eldar vs Tau or something, hahaha. Won't happen, but would be funny.
That being said, the new models do look great.

Move over bub. I also have a significant (and embarassingly large) pile of plastic crack. But truly speaking, EVERYBODY should be in awe of the pile Guy has acquired. Not so sure he selects items for building or if he puts on safety gear and mines for them. And if the the minis are tasty enough, I will probably spring for a box and gladly sell what I don't "need" .... make that "want". Because I DO need the rulebook.

Also, I like the "minimum" table size loophole. So I'm good with staying at 4x6 both at home for most games and at tournaments. Though basing that decision on kill team mats is definitely one of their sillier decisions.

you are right Chris... our piles of grey plastic are mere insects compared to the glorious mountain of Guy...

Guy definitely has me beat. My entire shelving unit of shame is now stored in the secret storage area behind the bar so it doesn't look down on me disappointingly anymore.
