so i think single battalion or brigade will be popular as you have lots of room to take what you want and not spend extra cp on extra detachments. so i think we will still see 3 to 6 troops around lol.

notice on the battalion. For dedicated transport. can take one for each Infantry unit.

I don't think I've used a dedicated transport ever in 8th. Is it currently you get a DT slot for every unit in a detachment, regardless of keywords? So say you have 2 hq, 3 troops, 2 fast attack, and a heavy, you can take 8 DT?

And that was for all non LOW/Flyer detachment.

I'm going to hold of on guessing about what detachments etc people will focus on until we see how much point costs change.

I'm not thrilled with the weird table size stuff. I really wish they had stayed on nice 12" breaks like 4x6(48x72)or 4x5 (48x60) or 4x4(48x48"), The 44" isnt great to deal with for most people. Also seems like with change to table dimensions they will have to start looking at weapon ranges too

well that's dumb.... it says minimum but still... even their realm of battle tables are 6x4... and all the warhammer world tables...
I can assure you Nexus isn't replacing all their battle mats and tables... everything will be staying 6x4 for regular nexus games and tournaments.

i think the table sizes are a little weird, but as said they are minimums, and they did say they want to make it easier for people to play.
so maybe they picked sized they thought it would be easier for some people who don't have game mats

GW Kill Team mats measure 22" x 30", so 44" x 60" works if you make a 2x2 square out of 4 Kill Team mats.
Very silly decision.

I am slowly warming up to this and am finding solace in the fact that I will be involved (to some extent) with this edition from the start, as opposed to coming in at the tail end.
I am excited for the chance to get to field full-strength units of Gretchin and not /needing/ a butt-jillion detachments limiting my list builiding.

I think the changes that they've previewed thus far make alot of sense, which gives me some hope that the rest will be good as well. It appears that they have more for casual / narrative / new players than ever before, which gives me some hope.
