Necrons have (according to goonhammer) one of the best sets of secondaries in the game... Ancient machines flat out got way better and code of combat having a 3VP and 4 VP option is crazy good!

Whew. Long read on that. The changes are lighter than I expected in some areas and much heavier in others. The complete removal of stranglehold and TTL is a game shaking change alone imo.
I didn't go through the faction secondary secondary section too heavily but it looks like some of the factions that needed help might have got some.

I didn't go through the faction secondary secondary section too heavily but it looks like some of the factions that needed help might have got some. Yep there are a big number of positive changes based on what they've said.
Code of Combat: 3 VP for each unit destroyed by a Noble.->3 VP for shooting and 4 for melee. Pretty much only used when you have the Silent in play because the rest of the Noble characters aren't very good fighters.
Purge the Vermin: 2 VP per quadrant that enemies aren't wholly within (can't score first turn).->
1 VP per quad but an extra for you deployment zone. Toned down but still good.
Treasure of the Aeons: Opponent picks 3 objectives and you score extra VP at the end of your turn based on the number of points you hold (1/2, 2/3, 3/5) ->
Opponent can no longer select points in their deployment zone + moved to No Mercy, No Respite from Battlefield Supremacy
Ancient Machineries: Players alternate selecting objectives until you have three (can't be in deployment zones). If no enemy models are present a Core/Canoptek unit can perform an action and on your next command phase get 3 VP (assuming the unit is still in range). ->
'obsec units completing the action in your turn' (might be instead of needing to wait for the next command phase, will have to see the wording). Now it can be done as long as I control the objective, doesn't matter if enemies are there. Finally it now gives 4 points.

my necron list will always be taking code of combat and ancient machines... silent king and obsec advance moving scarabs pretty much are meant for doing these objectives.

Also some people are apparently really salty about the rule of actually having to put troops in any dedicated transports you bring at the start of the game in order to bring said vehicles.
What's up with that? Because I don't recall any time I've faced a list with transports that didn't have something in them at the start of the game.

At the very top end competitive crowd empty vehicles were useful in a few different builds to fill out leaner builds like starweavers in mono Harlies and a few other places.
