Looks like the good ol' 7th edition marine swarm lists are back in vogue lol
Decurions for everyone! (I know it was technically a Gladius but the Decurion was literally free equipment, fits too well)

Just to make sure I understand Any wargear that you would normally have to pay for that doesn't have a price listed in the points pdf is now free?

Yarp. The relevant excerpt is "You must then add the points for each weapon and other item of wargear included in that unit if it is listed in that unit’s entry (weapons and other wargear not listed in a unit’s entry cost no additional points to include in that unit)"

This makes my Deathwing Terminators, for instance, since Cyclone Missile Launchers and Powerfists/Chainfists/Thunderhammer and Stormshields are all now free.

Man somebody at GW really hates company veterans. They're like the only guys in the entire army who pay 10 points for a combi.
Edit: Wait I found an even weirder one- Rites of Initiation still costs points to give to transports. We don't pay for weapons but we gotta pay points just to place vehicles in a deprecated detachment class with no rules benefit lol

The list I was working towards for club Champs dropped 90pts (Chaos Space marines) not a lot but mostly dropped from wargear being free on the Legionaries. so with the 90ppts I can add up to 5 legionaires. but I'll probably just fill out the 2 squads I have in the list and add a couple of free heavy weapons to them. shrug.

"Now I don't play harlies but that is straight up bullshit dropping their invuls by 1 across the board. Like straight up bullshit." From Shannon
I couldn't agree more, it makes them 8th and back demons that cost 5 times as much. Well I guess I'll have to figure out how to keep them safer

Big marine winners I see so far are:
Plamsa inceptors 60-40 Bolt Aggressor 45-30 Assault Cents loaded 75-60 Outriders 45-35 Terminators with a cyclone in the squad went down 10 ppm Repulsor Executioner 320-250
Van vets with LC Shield went up 1 point, but hammers got cheaper.
But really I think it will all come down to what the secondaries are like, on whether a faction is OP or not.

The biggest marine winner I can find is the deathwing terminator. TH&SS and cyclones are both flat 33 now, so you can get 10 (8 THSS 2 CMSB) + a watcher for 330 points, which is 135 cheaper than it was. They also largely do not suffer any loss of effectiveness over the AoC removal because they never had it already being on a 1+, while their weapons are pretty much in the sweet spot for a non AoC world.
Combined with the other flat discounts that means you can now do that skew terminator list that was floating around with 50 guys all kitted to the nines with watchers and the best weaponry and still have a healthy chunk of points left over for the also discounted support and utility pieces.
You're going to easily net over 700 points in savings with a variation of that build.
