I was shocked when your night bringer and T-Ctan could not kill 10 immortals. Regardless of the detachment I still have to roll dice properly lol... math they should have died, but probability is one of those fickle things- Tzeentch loves to mess with me if I rely on it too much lol I also really liked your list. Like saw things in there and went "ooooh THAT works WAY better than what I did"

Played a game with Nick today.
I just want everyone to know. 18 scarabs and 2 spyders killed a lord of Skulls, it should be noted that the spyders did 1 wound to it. After it died I had one scarab base left.
Was not using Canoptek court. But was using hypercrypt legion.

3 rounds of combat with exploding scrabs adds up. I think i did a total of 14 mortals. I exploded 7 scarabs. It also helps with 90 atracks on the charge looking for lethal hits. Munch munch munch.

Wait, three rounds? I figured after the first set of explosions he'd redirect a few attacks and just wipe the little guys out.

Well the lord of skulls has only one melee weapon. It is 15 attacks though. The first round of combat he killed 4.5 scarabs. Start of the second fight phase more explosions. And killed one unit in that process. 2nd round of combat unit 2 died. And in the third round unit 3 died. Nick had to shoot the skull cannon at a unit of wraiths on an objective durning his turn.
240 points effective.

So tried out a new list for Hypercrypt Legion last night.
Final score was 61 -44 for me and if I had rolled 8 on 2D6 I would have scored an additional 18 points.
Things to pay attention to with Hypercrypt; 1.Need to pay attention to what units can DEEP STRIKE and what units are coming in off the board. 2. Coming out of a monolith with a unit that has Arisen Tyrant counts as full rerolls 3. ENTROPIC DAMPENING works better on a unit than it does on a vehicle. Used it on a unit of deathwing terminators and on a repulsed executioner. (Terminators = 12 hazardous rolls killing two terminators) (repulsar = only 7 weapons. Doing 3 damage)

well from someone who's been on the receiving end a few times now of an immortal unit with full rerolls causing more mortal wounds then massed Karskins had ever dreamed of, I gotta say, I'm not sad to see this go.

Absolutely, I just thought it would be a points increase not a drastic change to the functional ability. Not used to GW balancing yet I wonder if Court is still the hands down detachment to run. Court didn't really do that much damage without the immortal bomb. Doomstalkers are hit or miss depending on the D6+1 roll for shots. Maybe Awakened is better now? The Silent King + Doomsday Arks hitting on 3 (2s with Heavy) rerolling 1s Strength 18. I really wish they fixed the triarch/overlord keywords for Obeisance Phalanx. That looks like a fun detachment if TSK got +1 to wound as well. 3x10 Lychguard with 3x10 Triarch Praetorians

I think Canoptek court is still very good for wraiths with attached technomancers and it's pretty much required for the doomstalkers.

Didn’t think about using cosmic precision to deep strike a unit in reserve that doesn’t deep strike for 1 cp. that kind of changes things. It goes along with my new list.
2CP is expensive but Cynosure of Eradication on Wraiths is still worth it.

I'm going to keep building Court but also built an awakened dynasty list to give it a shot (need to build models for it).
Dropped my secondary squad of immortals/chrono/royal warden + Overlord (since their isn't great battle tactics now) for a Nightbringer and 6x1 Scarabs. Let's go Ctan!

Guess I'll just have to swap out the Overlords for Wardens in my list then. The Szeras+Plasmancer+Immortals combo is still very good, I'm just not going to be effectively deleting vehicles with it anymore.
On the other hand, being able to 'run' 11 inches with a unit and still shoot is very useful, particularly since Szeras can easily keep up with his speed.
