As part of the 40k release thread rumours here: For clarity running order for 40k & wfb = 40k starter Chaos Space Marines Warriors of Chaos Dark Angels Chaos Daemons/Daemons of Chaos Tau High Elves Eldar Lizard Men Read more: kingstonwarhammer.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=news40k&thread=963&page=6#ixzz24IGNdsYnit would appear that Warriors of Chaos are in October... Daemons for both fantasy and 40k at the end of December / early January release... high elves then lizard men.... as much as I'm stoked that the lizzies may get a tone down, I'm not so stoked about the dwarfs getting pushed back.... (and brets and woodies still in the dark... but rumoured earlier to be the latter half of 2013)

I'm looking forward to adding overpowered, inexpensive lizzie special characters to my list to help balance the weakness in the army. That and T3 skinks that cost less will also help "balance" the list ;D

At last check this schedule is still touted by the rumour sources as accurrate.
Given Dark Angels are now rumoured to be pre-orders up at the end of December, should still give time for all of those releases to occur by the end of 2013...
although I think the WOC as a white dwarf update was a bit "meh" but may indicate a new book in the spring as per other rumours I've heard...

From Faeit:
"Most of us were caught surprised that Warriors of Chaos were released. We probably should not have been, but the rumor mill was behind the game on the release when it came to the release of the army book. On this end, I tend to receive a lot less info regarding fantasy than 40k.
One of my most accurate sources sent me this email. We have had this confusion before, regarding pre-release dates are in the calendar month ahead of the release with Hastings and again with other rumor sources. Both White Dwarf and pre-releases are on the calendar month ahead of their release or issued month,
The next White Dwarf will contain Daemons, as many other rumor sources as well are pointing to. The following White Dwarf which would already be being worked on, is flyers. I would imagine since its being worked on, that is how we started receiving rumors of the release.
Please remember that these are rumors.
via anonymous Nothing was wrong with the dates I provided, I guess I just wasn't clear. Febuary WD is daemons, march WD is flyers. At least, in so far as the white dwarf released in feb, etc. The white dwarf released in december had DAngels for instance.
It's back to back releases with a heavier focus on 40k for the next year to two years to get all the army books up to date. Then expect new units in white dwarf releases and army updates to spot fill anything that needs a boost here or there. Then it will be a primary focus on expansions and supplements as opposed to just a revolving door of codexes.
6th edition is here to stay."

Daemons are indeed next month... will be a double release - both 40k and Fantasy! Author leaked for 40k Daemon dex = Phil Kelly Author leaked for fantasy Daemon army book = Matt Ward (Mr. I broke the last book) for some reason it seems like the authors should have been reversed for that! Let's hope 40k's favourite cheese author doesn't make a book like he did last time... you know, the one that completely unbalanced 7th ed.... if the rumours are true about a new edition in the next year or two, it might make sense for them to let Matt break another edition

yep... checking that Phil Kelly only does write 40k books... sorry, I assumed he wrote a few more... okay then I guess it makes perfect sense to give Ward the fantasy version... he did such a great job the last time didn't he?
