I still prefer the devastators for versatility, but that's me- the Vindicator version looks good too.

I think I'll build both and try them out... I have a few missile launchers already, maybe enough to do up one squad... shouldn't be too hard to get fifteen marines in order... either way I'm going to have to buy another box of sanguinary guard! .....wait... what the hell... a devestator box only comes with ONE missile launcher? and it's the same price as a tac squad that comes with 10 guys instead of five and also has a missile launcher??? thanks GW... that's awesome.... so basically GW is saying that if you want ONE devestator squad with four missile launchers you need to pay $160? that just doesn't make ANY sense!

When has GW ever made sense when it comes to weapon/upgrade options in most of their boxes?

Ask Mike how he acquired all the missile launchers for his Long Fangs, maybe there's a secret Space Wolf trick I don't know about because I don't use them.
On another note, Here's my take on the lists.
The Vindicator version looks pretty good, but vindicators aren't going to provide the demeching power you need. It's a typical 1 shot weapon, (think how often that Zoan Lance works against mech).
The Devastator version looks good too, but I don't like the solo Attack Bikes, It's my opinion attack bikes should be run in pairs (in your case, 1 unit of 2, instead of 2 units of 1), just to counter bad dice, and to help prevent a pretty easy first blood given the lack of vehicle hulls for them to hide behind.

The zoan lance would work fantastic if I didn't have to make a psychic test then roll to hit... (a large blast is pretty damn accurate in 6th edition)
I think the space wolf trick is also buy tactical squads for your army... because they come with missile launchers that you're not going to put on them... lol...
I think the Dante wing is going to be somewhat hit and miss and require a hell of a lot of tactical skill to win with... which is why I'm so damn intrigued with it...
it's been a long time since I've been such utterly tabled... twice in a row... and it got me kind of fired up to make it work... I could see afterwards four or five things I SHOULD have done differently... but couldn't know til I tried it... it's amazing how a few mistakes really cripple this list... there's just no room for error.... and I love it....
lol....

well the big problem is that you hate tank thats why its gonna be extremly hard to basically impossible to work.
Before bying the devastator like I did try them and you will see they are pretty bad... I have some nice devastator with millions of IH bits and I cant use them...

Well, you could always just buy the FW heavy weapon packs, they give you several heavy weapons in each.
Yeah, this list is going to have ZERO forgiveness. And actually, one thing I really like about the Vindi version is the Dread in a Pod. Give you some alpha strike goodness, and means if you want to deepstrike Dante's unit in turn 2, they aren't going to be the only threat in someones face.
One other thing you may want to consider, is trying the dread/pod and 2x 5man Devastators with Missiles. Certainly will help your alpha strike potential. (and depending on points you could throw in a unit of scouts or a priest in the backfield for FNP goodness)

I'm thinking of the following things to mix-match in various combinations to figure out something I like:
The core will always be Dante and five units of Sanguinary guard... that is set... so pretty much 1500 points of the list is taken.
The various combos I want to work with include:
The furioso in a pod 2 vindicators (maybe three... haven't decided) 3 units of devestators armed with missile launchers
so that allows me to try one of each, just vindi's, just missiles (so I can pretend to be space wolves like all the cool kids) or various combinations til I get something I like... plus then it gives me a purchase target that gives me some flexibility and hopefully doesn't leave me with a bunch of useless models... or just one list!
