Space wolf scouts are WS/BS4 but elites and a bunch more expensive than sm scouts. Their dreads only have 2 base attacks but murderfang has 4 base plus rage and rampage and 2 specialist weapons. He's in my army for the club championship.

Ya but It seems like if a dread base is 4 than Murder Fang should have 6 plus rage and 2 specialist weapons. It doesnt make sense that some space marines dreads have extra attacks for no reason. The tournament/House rule should be base everything at 4 then add codex bonus extra.

From Faeit: "It seems like we are pulling teeth for information for the next 40k release. The latest intel is saying that we will get no new codex for Space Wolves, but rather an expansion book. Earlier information today here on Faeit 212 has this Campaign Book being called the "Curse of the Wulfen". via Darnok on Warseer www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?415310-Space-Wolves-in-February-2016&p=7596541&viewfull=1#post7596541I've been told the SW will not get a new codex, but an expansion book - I guess similar to the last Tau update. There will be new models, but I have no details about them (yet). Compilation of Space Wolf information If you take this and combine it with today's earlier bits, we get this compilation from here. Of course we will add Sad Panda's Space Wolves coming in February bit too. natfka.blogspot.com/2016/01/space-wolves-campaign-book-curse-of.html -Space Wolves coming in February -Curse of the Wulfen- Campaign Book -Space Wolves vs Daemons with new Detachments for both. -New models coming -No new Space Wolf Codex "

Sounds like a one or two week window. "Here's the campaign book!" And the the next week "Here are the new models!"

What the actual F$#!... The last 3 books that have been released have ALL been 7th ed books that honestly didn’t need any help or a re-write. Meanwhile CSM is the only in print 6th ed book. I’m just wondering how many other books will be getting re-writes before they un-F$#! themselves and write a decent CSM book. Blood Angels still have a 6th edition codex, as do Dark Eldar. Given CSM should get their first this go around, you also didn't get a cut and paste codex for your "7th edition" codex release. You actually got Daemonkin.

I agree I was wrong about the other 6th Ed books, but Khorne got a book, that's the same as me saying "well, Dark Angels got a book why are you complaining?"

My German was rusty at best, but 30 points each seems a bit steep. Looks like they can each have TH/SS for 20 points/model and there’s some other options in there. Based on the below statline unless that 4+ is really a 4++ then they’re in some trouble if they don’t take TH/SS and/or a landraider as a transport. Though they'd have to do the start out then embark method as they appear to only be able to take a stormwolf as a dedicated transport. The only equipment listed is handwaffe, or close combat weapon as far as google tells me. Can also take a twohanded frost axe for 8 points or 2 wolf claws (says frostklauen which is closer to frost claws but I'm guessing it's a wolf claw) for 12 points. The first special rule has something to do with the assault phase and initiative and attacking, but I can't make out every word to put it in google. I think you can purchase a bolt pistol for 2 points per model, the second option. 20 points to upgrade to the character but it comes with 2 wolf claws, that's a 2 point savings against normal 10 point cost for a character. The second special rule I think is something about re-rolling something failed something something.
Really seems like it needs the TH&SS, 50 points a model for 3++, 2W, S10

From Faeit:
"Translations Need a Translation?, here is what a reader from the community sent in. Huge thanks!
WULFEN RULES! In German... Special rules: Berserker Know no Fear Curse of the Wulfen Counterattack Sharp senses Feel no Pain Bulky
Todesraserei/Deathfrenzy: If a modell in this unit is killed it can move up and attack at the end of the current initiative step. This even applies if the model already has attacked.”
Weite Sprünge/Leaping Bounds: This unit can run and attack. It also rerolls failed charge rolls. Options: May contain up to 5 more Wulfen…. 30p/m Each model may take a salvo grenade launcher 2p/m Each model may take one of the following: Two Handed Frost Axe 8p/m Two Wolf Claws 12p/m Thunderhammer and Stormshield 20p/m One Wulfen can be upgraded to Wulfen-Pack Leader with two Frost Claws 20p This unit may take a stormwolf as a dedicated transport.
A Second Translation: Two are always better than one and they seem to match up. Thank you for sending this in. I can more or less confirm the translation on spikeybits and elsewhere, and here is my own crack at it:
(? marks indicate areas where I found it difficult to read the image I found)
Rough paraphrases: "When a model dies in the Assault phase, it can at the end of the current Initiative step advance/move/pile in and attack. It can do this even if it already attacked.” They can “run and assault” and “re-roll” (I think it translates to “charge moves”)
Equipment: "Hand Weapon” - could mean either Claws or Close Combat Weapon.
Special Rules: Berserker And They Shall Know No Fear Curse of the Wulfen Feel No Pain. (Can’t read the rest)
Wargear Options: Take 5 extra Wulfen - 30pts/model Can take a “Stormsplitter” weapon option at 2pts/model - I’ve read elsewhere it is some sort of grenade launcher Two-handed frost axe - 8?pts/model Two Frostclaws - 12?pts/model Thunderhammer/Stormshield - 20pts/model One model can become a Wulfen Pack Leader with two Frostclaws for 20pts Can take a Stormwolf as a Dedicated Transport"

So I got a bit right, some half right and a bunch wrong. What's the berserker special rule? It doesn't have a page number like the curse of the wulfen rule.

I'm thinking Berserker is probably Rage?
That Deathfrenzy rule is absolutely brutal against anything with an Initiative below 5. So many damn attacks.
