ive looked at the rules i can find but i dont see any where WHO can go in the formations etc. I mean there are a lot of really power ideas but need some firming up. Admittedly if anything or every can join the new formation you could chain a double wraithknight charge. Charge wipe a unit then perform another charge action. normal cataplut bikes seem strong. fly up unload into something at 7" then turbo boost 36" away OR double tap the weapon into another sqaud etc.
Id like to see a list of what can do what before getting to excited.

luckily very few tournaments allow double wraithknights these days I think large units of scatterbikes will be terrifying with the potential of destroying two units a turn (shooting a small unit to kill it, double shoot onto a larger unit weakening it - next unit destroys that unit, unloads into a second... etc.... etc... etc...) If they worship the god of death and power up from their own and enemies dying around them.. seems kinda weird to have spirit stone units allowed to be part of it...

No i mean a single wraith knight, the soulburst rule i saw was " if a friendly or enemy unit is completely destroyed in 7" ( 14" in formation) the unit may immediately move, shoot/run/turbo boost, declare a charge action." So there you have the Knight charges a squad kills it with attack+stomps. Knight was within 7" of enemy when it dies and may immediately declare a new charge with something is in 12 ". Its back to 5th sling shot from unit to unit. sure it can only happen once but still VERY strong. Again this is from what I have read of leaked rules there could be a something over seen or such. Also i mean again without knowing WHO is allowed in the formations a wraith knight might not be allowed in.

Fire Dragons too can become an absolute wrecking machine.
I also like the idea of little squads of Blasterborn on foot - tons of offense for relatively cheap on a super squishy unit. Make it VERY clear to your opponent that killing that squad is going to be giving another squad an extra shooting phase. Not a choice I'd be happy about making.

all I can say is that I'm super glad all this crap isn't released in time for the tourney.... gives me a lot of time before I have to deal with it as a T.O. at least

It's funny, the idea of blasterborn on foot was the first thing I thought of when reading the strength from death rule.

Gods, I could just swap my whole army to these rules and change literally nothing in my list.
I won't because I don't have time to figure out new tactics and I don't want to lose early bird. But jibbers.

But jibbers. well shannon did say "anything released for your faction between now and club champs allows for a free pass on an update if you're already an early bird by the 28th" if that helps your decision lol

I suppose it's hard to say it isn't from my faction if I don't have to change a single model.
Still, I feel like those rules will need more feeling out than I'll have anywhere near time to do before the event.

No... just no... not an entire new army faction released the week before.....
it's one thing if we're talking a model or two, (which is what this WAS rumoured to be initially when I agreed to the rumored new triumvirate) but this is a whole new list. a whole new army in effect, that plays differently, has new psychic lores, new faction abilities, relics, traits, etc.
There's no FAQ for it, I'll have to interpret stuff on the fly based on zero experience. I'd basically have to babysit the couple of tables that wanted to switch to it, plus it would guarantee slowing down games to a crawl because absolutely no one has even played a game with it.
it's a nightmare for me. Not going to allow it.

Danny, a spoil sport would be forcing you to do Buzzgob’s stompa the way ITC does his stompa. You have to use the builder from the 6th ed book…
Shannon’s ruling on the Aeldari is 100% spot on because; the Aeldari codex isn’t a new codex updating an existing print book. It’s a completely new set of rules that is combining multiple codices into one and as such falls outside of the “you get a new codex, you can re-do your list” rule.

A) it was a joke and I think most people got that. B) they don't make you take the old one, I don't know what makes you think that. The most up to date rules for a big Mek stompa come from the apocalypse book.
