Whelp, looks like the Space Elves are getting a Triumverate of their own. And that Eldrad did not in fact fail during Death Masque... www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AvuYAOJi8MThat Avatar looks damn Slaaneshi to me, I've gotta say - will be interested to see where they go with this. Also, a question for Shannon - Assuming these are released between the deadline for Early Bird list submission and the actual Club Championship, any chance at a free pass for updating my list to include them (Assuming I can/want to). I mean, I guess odds of me getting one of them painted in time are pretty damn low anyway, but if they're anything like the Imperial Triumverate they may be too awesome to pass up.

Those are some pretty nice models. Interestingly enough they look a little more Dark Eldary to me. Looking forward to what comes out of this.

anything released for your faction between now and club champs allows for a free pass on an update if you're already an early bird by the 28th
....however if something for a DIFFERENT army gets released and you change the army you're bringing... that's a whole new list, so no free pass there!
EDIT: holy crap those are nice models!

Nice they look pretty awesome.
The sword made a cameo appearance in fall of cadia if you looked in one of the pictures on the other side of a webway gate.

Some silly blurry pictures of the formations. Not much you can glean from them, but here they are regardless. Looks like all 3 eldar (sorry, Aeldari) factions are present in each formation. Linky linkAs it's been suggested before, this seems like the thing that GW themselves leak to create hype. If it was a real leak, the photo quality would be a lot better. A freaking Ipod has an 8MP camera on it. This looks like it was taken by a poloroid in a dark room by a drunk guy with Parkinson's. Or, (more likely) digitally degraded until only basic things can be made out.

The other option of Edlar v Dark elder are the rumours that all point ears are going to join a single faction in 8th to help cluttered the codex system. Since the new models look to be a interesting mix of Dark, Normal and Harlies it could give some credit to this idea.... tho 8th is looking to be on the summer and I'm hoping these drop earlier.

In fall of cadia there is formations that mix imperial factions and one detachment that can mix and match from almost all of the imperium.
I assume its like that

Makes sense. Originally I was planning on expanding the Eldar/Dark Eldar list to include Harlequins, this might make it actually worth it... you know... if you could read it.

I'm happy I chose to expand all my Eldar armies since it is looking more and more like the next book will allow them to be mixed/matched together in more ways than the current books allow.

Interesting, I like that it is not a continuation of the Fall of cadia. But happening at the same time. Makes 8th Edition sound pretty awesome.

So GW has put out some information on the emissaries rules. Big notes;
ML2 but it can increase during the game by absorbing the souls of dead psykers.
New Faction Special rule replacing battle focus and power from pain means that when an enemy unit dies within range the unit will gain an extra action (this already sounds like it's going to get out of hand)
All 3 members of the triumvirate can heal wounds through the game by absorbing the souls of eldar who die around them. (Don't know of this means you can go over starting or not)
New psychic discipline, including a short range S10 AP1 ignore cover ignore invul shot (I would assume a beam).
She most likely has stat lines hitting the level of a Solitaire (her initiative and weapon skill were defined as "off the charts") and will Smash things to pieces in combat. Sword boosts strength and has a "mean AP" so 2 or 3 (if it's 3 she's definitely not as frightening) as well as instant death.

So I shall quickly point out why I think it's going to get out of hand. Eldar are a glass cannon army. And this rule is going to allow them to repeatedly kill multiple units in one phase unmolested. This was described as "an extra move or an extra shot" but if it goes beyond that and allows an additional charge or an additional combat phase it's going to get out of hand really fast. Basically what it would come down to then is get a unit of close combat guys into a soft target and unit into a hard target near by. Swing against hard target, do some damage, then swing against soft target kill it and charge the hard target. Swing again with both units that just charged the hard target and watch it wither, then daisy chain as many charges as you can down the line.
