well to be fair the smite spam that is dominating the game... well actually isn't dominating the game....

the most egregious offenders the malefic lords were nearly tripled in point costs. They fixed brimstones last go around.

if you check out the top lists of major tournies:

you'll find no smite spam in the top three of the last month of GT's with the exception of one AM list at SoCal

and those results were prior to chapter approved point hikes for FW units like the malefic lord.... which weren't present 

Astra Militarium was though... lots of guard... lol... and chaos!

if a unit is not visible to the unit firing, it still counts as the closest unit for the purposes of character protection.

so yes, you can have a single scout behind LOS blocking all your shots at that librarian.

I don't know why they went this way (I thought it was going to go the opposite actually) but it is there.

Ya that's weird even worse then the whole I can't shoot at this guy in the open because my buddies are fighting this one unit an inch closer.

Now it's I can shoot at this guy out in the open because in feel there may be a guy hiding behind this wall. I can't see them but they might be there. Lol
