Which I think is fair, but when added to the fact that DE are basically treated as 3 armies in terms of rules, it gets kinda shaky feeling in my mind, as you don't have access to the full army within a single detachment unless you give up your Obsessions, which is a terrible choice.
We'll have to see how it plays out, and I'm definitely still impressed with what I've seen, but it strikes me a bit as "fluff getting in the way of function" compared to other armies. Imperials can ally more seamlessly with complete other factions than Drukhari can within their own book.

Multiple Battlions was my initial thought as well.
I think more than a few people thought/hoped Dark Eldar were getting a pass on the detachment limit to take advantage of the ability to get extra CP for patrols. I don't think it would have broke much since you should be able to still easily get 2-3 Battalions in at 2k

you can totally still get multiple detachments, just like any other book... and you're basically going to be taking 1-2 obsessions anyways most of the time, as you want your army to function well together (and like every book, all those buff abilities will only work with same "chapter" anyways).

Holy shit that's some serious points decreases. Almost everything is down (Only some weapon options are still the same). Raiders are now 30 points cheaper. It almost feels as though they are usable. Venoms down 10 points. Not enough to make me spam them again though.
I feel like Kabals are probably going to be the way to go. Cults got better, but not by enough considering base warriors also dropped in points.
