And Shrike is 130. That's a big oof for Raven Guard players. Only in comparison to what seems to be a very underpriced character. 130 for a chapter master is super good. He was 150 before The Imbiggoning, so he shed 20 points and got some better rules. Yes, I agree, Shrike seems quite good for his price. Just... you know, the comparison.

Gabriel Angelos at 185 and other fw chapter masters at 200+ are sad pandas compared to Shrike now.
I wonder if Pedro is gonna eat all his wheaties and grow up big and strong?

Well this should make Shannon happy. Based on some leaks ( video one, video two), Salamanders are likely to be the next Chapter in the pipeline.
While I haven't listen to/read everything, an interesting thing is that Vulkan He'Stan apparently isn't going Primaris. He's chosing to stay as 'just' a space marine. A psychic discipline that is (surprise, surprise) fire based, some interesting relics and traits.....and apparently they're getting the Necron Resurrection Protocols strat (get back up on a 4+ with one wound).
Tactical doctrine: flamers and melta weapons get +1 to wound rolls. Combine this with the -2 leadership in 12' spell? Bye-bye hordes that aren't immune to leadership rolls.

hmmmm hordes that aren't immune to leadership?
....ummmm guard? (orks don't care, nids don't care, gsc by a patriarch don't care)
I find the negatives to leadership don't really do all that much (sorry night lords) bar some harlequin shenanigan stacking on elite troops.
+1 to wound though on flamer weapons is pretty nice on one unit I guess (invictor warsuit) but in the tactical doctrine and for flamers means invictors can't get it first round (when they want it due to their deployment style)
meltas also pretty short range unless multi-melta... which again benefit from devastator doctrine ... okay... so useful in probably one turn?
maybe with the vulkan rumour and the buffs to flamers and meltas salamanders are supposed to be a regular marine army rather than primaris?
hmmmm headed over to the source and read everything... if true I might just stay successor... or another chapter just painted green... these rumours are pretty "meh", but the special character looks pretty good.

hmmmm hordes that aren't immune to leadership? Or even just bog standard infantry groups. Sure marines have Know no Fear reroll but this makes it easier to get rid of those last couple of Primaris. Then there are Tau battlesuits (I think the smaller ones are in units?) or the shield drones. Zap them and the guy is much more likely having to burn CP to prevent additional losses in the morale phase.
And finally there are the Necrons. Sure Immortal Pride grants auto-passes, but due to how CP hungry the 'crons are, Hyperlogical Strategist and Sautekh (so the D.Arks and D.Scythes and still move and fire effectively) are the go-to picks (at least for me). Also the fact that this is the only way to effectively bring Imotekh.
Sure the power 'only' brings Ld to an 8, but that's a big change for wraiths and destroyers (because I couldn't find and indication of it only targeting infantry) where before 5 dead means running on a 6, now they're bugging out on a 4. Similar situation with Immortals (because bringing warriors demands that you take Immortal Pride).

I honestly wouldn't worry about that spell very much... the other ones are way better, so they'll be the ones you'll see.
1. you have to get the spell off 2. you have to be in 12" with your psyker before casting the spell (which the wraiths/destroyers would LOVE - good luck getting that close to battlesuits who are always screened) 3. your opponent must not deny it (or have the ability to) 4. you have to cause sufficient casualties to a unit to force a test with enough of a negative that someone runs 5. your opponent doesn't spend 2 command points, OR pass the test.
Instead, you could just blast the same unit with mortal wounds to cause that extra casualty or two the morale would have done, not have to get close, and not rely on your opponent failing the test.
I just don't see the current leadership based attacks/abilities being used all that often. Just too swingy.
...now making a unit of aggressors T6? that would be pretty gross!

...now making a unit of aggressors T6? that would be pretty gross! Right because Might of Heroes is buffing a model while this one seems to buff a unit.

yeah, but it's all rumours at this point... I'm watching with interest but I've got so many projects on the go I can afford to be patient and wait and see

Most likely we're all (expect for the people who mainline Primaris) going to have to wait a while.
I imagine they're going to go through all the 'popular' Chapters to bring them up to Primaris over a few months and then finally get down to the meat and potatoes of psychic awakening (AKA new rules etc for the other factions).

5 attacks, Strength 12, AP-3 and 4 damage against vehicles and buildings? I guess they wanted him capable of tearing Knights and other superheavies limb from limb all by himself.
