I'm happy that pods are making a come back, they are actually pretty cool and iconic models. I'm hoping that they are priced well.
Also I realized that with the 100pt 4++ transport that GW does need to sell kits off the bat and the Invul is its own upgrade +18 pt....give it 4 months until CA, when every one has 2-3 of them and I'm sure you will see the invul go to 40 pts, if its dominating the table.
That's why you have to love CA!

turn one charging with three 13 wound dreads doing 15 S14 AP-3 3 damage attacks after launching 6D6 heavy flamer shots at whatever screen is in place?
yeah that seems pretty gross...

Let's see what their points will be like first though. It could be a bargain, or you could be paying 300 points for each, knowing GW.

....damn. I didn't think they could get less subtle about the 'we want Primaris to start kicking everybody's ass even harder' aspect but GW proved me wrong.
I'm going to have to invest points in multiple min-size scarab swarms for wide range DS area denial. Because one of those things popping up anywhere near my main force equal bye-bye everybody.

How the hell does a 130 point dreadnought have the ability to get closer faster and hit almost as hard as a specialized flamer toting knight?
You can almost get 4 of them (rumored points wise) for a single Acheron chassis.

Toughness doesn't really matter for it since unless you have the capability to attack deepstriking units, it's 100% safe until after it unloads everything into your flank.
It's a lot like how long-ranged and/or indirect fire models are in this edition. Sure, they're generally flimsy but most of the time they're out of range of the enemy or hiding behind LoS blocking terrain. They'll deal the damage and you can't really do much to stop them until three/four turns into the game.

This dread doesn't deep strike, it infiltrates, so it starts on the board.

-Double checks- OK my bad.
Though depending on the type and amount of terrain on the board (along with how big this thing is) you can still hide them from turn one fire (depending on how the opponent is set up) and with their movement, have a near guaranteed turn one charge.

Ya the big thing that this will bring is mobility (10" move) board control (9"away start) and threat range for CC vs T7. A lot of forces are gonna have to bury the tanks they want safe, way out of position vs these guys. It's a great toolbox for the army and can do shooting or CC depending on what you need each turn. Feels really good vs gun lines cause you will have to effectively screen vs them or they will soak a ton of fire if you dont go first. I think this might just be the push iron hands needs to become 1st overall chapter.
