so Auspex Tactics has a video which shows an alternative termagant datasheet - was shown very briefly on stream and someone screen captured it.
It's termagants with fleshborers (no other gun option) combined with rippers in the same unit. special rule says ripper must be targetted first and unit gets the benefit of cover by objectives

Yeah, from what I recall the notion that the 'combat patrol' sets that will be available are supposed to be a bit like the Indomitus boxes in practice. In that people new to 40k can each grab a box, assemble the minis and have more or less equal games against each other using the included rules and such. I imagine in the coming week they'll give more information on the whole thing. As an aside I'm told that the Carnifex in the trailer that got downed by the dreadnought and marines is a Screamer-Killer; and it does look somewhat like the classic model (IE these guys) as opposed to the current version. New sculpt in the works for them maybe?

Most of the big bug kits are fantastic but with how well they did at just slightly changing terminators to make them look the same but better I'd be optimistic to see what a refresh on carnifexs and the tyrants would look like.

The carnifex in the video was most certainly a screamer killer
I've heard that version of the carnifex is getting a new kit.
I'd turn my three screamer killers into more carnifex if there's a new cooler kit for the screamer... but I agree with Andrew, the carnifex kit is really great... would take a lot for me to switch just cuz.

Let's see: -Strats will primarily be 'reactions during your opponents phase' or 'one-off cinematic things'.
-There are (currently) seven core/universal strats and you get six more depending on your faction/detacthment.
-Many things that were previously strats will become baked in abilities on datacards.
-From the way they talk, the powers a psyker gets might be more limited as they're printed on the datacard. Meaning that it's possible psyker model A can pick from powers A, B, or C while the upgraded/more expensive guy has powers D, E or F to chose from instead of just this communal list every psyker can select from.

Limited Strats but powers on datasheets seems like a "no duh".
... there's already 7 universal strats... ? I was expecting a bigger change there.

USRs like Feel No Pain and Deep Strike are back too. Love USRs vs everyone has something like a USR but are sometimes just a bit different so you have to keep track of every variation.

I laughed when the video pointed out that FNP and Deep Strike haven't been used for so many years but everyone still refers to it that way... lol, WE obviously kept using USR's even if GW wanted to overcomplicate the same thing by giving it a bunch of different names!

Enhancements was a term used in Boarding Actions....they are basically a hybird of WL Trait and Relic...just a way to buff your charachters

Using the exact language AOS uses. Seems like army construction is going to be pretty much as it is in AOS
