Ivan's right arm was still numb from the fight with the human. He would have liked to of searched the body to get some valuables but with the other coming he thought it prudent to leave. He stayed off the main path until his arm got feeling again. When he got back on the road he spotted a corpse of a goblin and a squige, he stopped to search the goblin body for what ever valuable it had. There was some gold and items he could sell, who ever had killed the goblin cared not for its items or gold. He then looked at the squige he pulled out a small dagger and cut some of the flesh from it and took a bite and spit it out at once. The smell of the beast was foul but the taste of it was even worse if that was possible. He found him self looking at the inn, and standing there awe stuck for a second. There were heads on pikes as well a large banner of rat hide over the door. His companion had no since of stealth but hey he needed one companion especially if all the humans could hit as hard at the last one did more then one would be too much to handle alone. He went inside and could smell roasting meat, as well heard his companion snoring which he always thought sounded like a bag of stones with pots, pans and a cat in it. His second thought was that it was a lot cleaner in here then the rest of the building he has seen other then the blood symbols on the wall it was relatively clean, Beef was an interesting one for sure. He looked around for some drink which he found and sat and ate some of the roasted rats. Once he had eaten and drank his fill he laid down for the night.

The elven Prince had taken his leave from the crumbling building he'd set up in when the Bretonnian lord had left earlier that day - his movements were of no consequence to him now, since the human hadn't even seen fit to share a word since they'd made landfall.
Arriving at an overgrown park, or perhaps a garden, Findecáno stopped to listen to the faint sounds of the city around him. Taking a few deep breaths, he slung his sword from off his shoulder and rested it, point down, leaning on it. This would be the place that he'd meet his first opponent, in time.
With that certainty, he closed his eyes, and got some rest.

Everard lay dying, his lifeblood pooling on the broken paving stones. He coughed and turned his head. There it was. The scroll he seeked, just out of reach. He clawed his way closer as smoldering flames licked at the scroll's corners. To just read it would be to set his Order free!. But he could move no more. The scroll consumed. He passed with a final thought, "Oh d6 wounds ...why will you never roll the average??"

Tharn'Kar Diavilios crept carefully through the ruined city, senses alert for any movement. He had heard the sounds of battle already, and the noise of charging knights on the wind. He didn’t want to tackle a lance of knights if he could avoid it. He never expected this desolate place to be so populated. From the stories he had heard this most certainly should not have been the case. He fully stopped in surprise at the sight before him however. It was a high elf, his most hated of foes in an overgrown park. This one appeared to be meditating, leaning upon a greatsword with eyes closed. “The fool”, thought Diavilios, “an easy kill”. He moved silently forward, the assassin not making a sound.
Findecano Arcamenel knew perfectly well that the dark elf was there. His senses were tuned to such a high level that he could pinpoint him before he was even beginning to move. His hands gripped upon his ornate sword and with one graceful movement, rose and swung impossibly fast. The smile of satisfaction on the prince’s face was short lived however. Tharn’Kar’s armor was of no use against the high elf’s greatweapon, however as the killing blows landed, the dark amulet flared to life with an eerie glow, smoke pouring outward to envelope Findecano. The high elf’s body was wracked with pain as the life force was stolen from him. He found his sword so heavy in his hands he could barely lift it to parry half of the incoming hail of strikes from the dark elf. Those that hit struck deep, finding gaps in the armor which normally deflected all incoming assaults.
“Impossible”, sighed Findecano as he slumped forward, blood gushing from a terrible wound.
“Believe it” smiled Tharn’Kar, “And as you die be comforted by the fact that I will slay all of your kind just as easily.”
As blackness overtook him, Findecano had no doubt the vile dark elf meant every word.
----------
After battle thoughts:
Wow… that amulet when it works is just disgusting…. Tharn’Kar nearly killed Findecano during the time the high elf was hitting HIM! All it took was one more failed save to send the prince to his maker… sorry for the short battle report, but this one was seriously over round one….

Sun-ya easily slipped by the skeletal guards of the great palace. Unlike the rest of the ruined city, this area appeared to be actually populated, by undead at least. She easily avoided the patrols, her keen senses alerting her to the movement of the undead. As she moved deeper into the palace, she heard the barking of orders in a raspy, angry voice, followed by the rattle of moving armor. She hid quietly while a score of tomb guard marched by, then once they had passed moved towards where she had heard the voice. Sun-ya came upon an antechamber where the dusty form of a tomb king paced in anger, muttering to itself. Her lips curled back in a snarl at meeting one of these foul rulers of the dead. The creature must be dispatched if she were to continue her quest in the city. Sun-ya ran forward, shedding the camo-cloak as she moved for the kill. Rn-n-Tech turned a moment too late, and the saurus’ weapon was inches from the tomb king’s head when it was turned aside by his own flashing blade. Rn-n-Tech slashed at the lizard, but Sun-ya was quick, and her amulet protected her from the one strike that came close to her. Sun-ya darted repeatedly at the undead monster. She had never faced a foe so difficult for her to hit! The monster had some amulet that kept flaring to life at the last instant, deflecting her blade when she did manage to land a blow. Rn-n-Tech raged in frustration at the fast moving lizard. She was bright pink, how could he possibly miss such a target? He could not seem to connect with her. He held his sword at the ready as she dove forwards again towards him. At the last minute he was able to stab forwards, causing a glancing injury to the lizard’s side. The combatants continued to measure one another’s ability, becoming more precise with their strikes as the battle wore on, but still unable to gain an advantage. Sun-ya knew that she would eventually tire, despite her skills, while the undead creature before her would not. She dared a risky move, sliding under his defenses to try and go full around to his back. She was able to do so, striking full force between the creature’s shoulder blades, but that cursed amulet wove it’s magics again, taking all of the deadly force and dissipating it to nothingness. Sun-ya was now perilously out of space to maneuver and Rn-n-Tech took advantage, spinning with his blade to cause yet another slice through the lizard’s armor, drawing blood. At that moment, Sun-ya drove her own blade forward, hitting the spot under the amulet when it moved aside with the momentum of Rn-n-Tech’s strike. This appeared to be effective, as the creature howled in pain at the injury. She now knew where to strike, the question was if she could live long enough to do it again. Rn-n-Tech was enraged, striking again and again at the lizard, who easily feinted away from the careless tomb king. Sun-Ya dove forward again around the undead’s defenses, aiming for the vulnerable spot underneath the amulet. She missed however, and with wide eyes, realized too late her folly. She was now close enough to feel the putrid breath of the tomb king on her face as he stabbed his blade into her heart. She felt her life essence draining into the creature, which knitted it’s wounds as he laughed dryly at her. “Silly thing,” Rn-n-Tech chuckled “I AM the sands of fate. There is no escape from my judgement.” Sun-ya found no comfort in the blackness that enveloped her. ---------------- After Battle Thoughts: Okay from one extreme to another... this one went SEVEN rounds of combat! I realized once I started rolling this out that both of them had glittering scales... so no one was going to hit! between Sun-Ya's armor / ward and Rn-n-Tech's no armor save vs. the lizardman (woman?) attacks but a 2+ ward because of flaming attacks... well lets just say it was going to be a LONG fight. Sun-ya would have taken the fight I think if it wasn't for the fact that she had flaming attacks and the tomb king had that ward against flaming (no armor save and a TON of attacks would have ended even the mighty tomb king I think)... Rn-n-Tech's high toughness, ability to regen wounds, and having more wounds than the average participant makes him one tough customer though!

That black amulet has been death to every High Elf it's run into I think. yep... It might hit the banned list for next arena... it's just that good.... the no saves of any kind makes it extremely powerful... like how we found out how powerful breath weapons were in an arena when someone got 12 extra auto-hits in a round!

Ivan had slept well with a full belly. He laid there for a moment and noticed the fire had went out and it was very dark in the inn. He started the fire up again and once he had finish Beef had came back in from out side, what Beef was doing out there he did not know. After starting the fire he decided that he would go out to scout some more. He had only done the outer edge of the city the other night. He snuck again between the ruins and the dunes deeper into the city and saw a large palace in the middle of the city which had undead milling around it. Undead they never taste good but are usually rich . He decided he would get a closer look. As he got up close he saw a door open and some undead throw out a body of a pink lizard, he checked the body on his way by and liberated what ever valuables it had, nothing he wanted to use but he could sell it all for a good penny. He moved into the door and almost walked into a group of undead, he was just about to attack but noticed they were just standing there not moving, “resting” he said to him self and moved on the rest of the undead in the castle were not “resting”. He was able to move through a couple rooms with out being detected, picking up valuables on the way. This was a big place it would take him a long time to get everything and to clear the place, he might need Beefs help with all the guards also, he decided to leave and come back later but as he was about to leave the room he was in he heard large foot steps of a single undead coming closer as if toward this room. He would have to plan his next move carefully as he pulled out his axe. (challenging Rn-n-Tech )

Ivan the Hammer rode into the fell city at breakneck speeds, he dismounted his warhorse and strode into the closest tavern, a good place to find information. Little did he know a foul spawn of chaos lay right on the other side of the door. Ivan strode into the tavern and saw the foul Bull, pulled out his hammer, whispered a prayer to Sigmar and charged head long into the beast before it could react.

*just wanted to point out that the reflected wounds from the amulet only ignore armour stupid army builder.... noted - will ensure that it's so from now on... I'm not sure that things would have changed drastically from that, as round one saw four wounds (two wounds got through saves for sure as they were the dark elf's attacks so I did the saves, but two I just automatically assigned from the amulet might have been saved... odds were one of the two would have got through the 4+ ward but still, it's my mistake... sorry)
