Ivan woke after his nap and looked around the room with pride, such a large amount of treasure and the prize of it in his pouch. He went to look around the large palace again to see if he missed any areas, and he had, but nothing as grand as the treasures he had already found but he did not want to waste any of it. There was a lot more here then the people he was working for expected, and far more then even Gilgamesh had ever seen he was sure. In the last look he had also found a cellar that he almost missed a second time, it had been luck that he found it. It hadn't been used by the undead and once he was inside he knew why. It was a huge wine cellar, “ahhh the second best find of the day”, Ivan said to him self. He proceeded to take a barrow in each arm and take them up to the throne room. He dropped him self back on the throne, which he was coming to enjoy, and crack a keg open and start drinking. This would pass the time until he had to send the signal to his employers as well as get the taste of this dessert out of his mouth.

Tharn'Kar slowly picked himself up and stood looking at the place where the human knight had fallen. It would seem that once again he was to be denied a trophy to prove his victories.
He gingerly touched the wound that he had taken from the knight, a wound that shouldn't have been. It would seem that his amulet had limits and that it was possible to escape it's range if an opponent was quick enough. He'd just have to be sure to pick his battle grounds from here on in so as to deny his victims the chance to flee.
Looking around to get his bearings, Tharn'Kar noticed a larger building that could only be a palace of some kind. If the item he was seeking was to be found, this seemed the most likely location. Cleaning the blood of the elf and human from his blade, he set off in the direction of the palace, constantly scanning the ruins for any sign of opponents. There was little chance that these two had been the only ones here. Plus, that vampire was likely still out there somewhere.

Better yet " no its okay Frank, yah just put that grail knight on my table side, that's right 1" from the edge....nothings going to happen....really!

Tharn'Kar moved his way silently through the palace, easily evading the undead guardians. It was clear from the size of the structure that it had definitely been a palace of some kind. He was confident that the presence of the guards could only mean that the artifact was here somewhere.
He was disappointed when he found nothing but a massive fortune in gold and jewels in the palace vault. It would have been almost too easy to have been able to get in and steal the artifact like this. As he had expected, he was going to have to find the lord of this palace and take the artifact from him.
Once again easily making his way through the palace, he made his way to the throne room. Upon entering he was taken aback when he saw the dwarf sitting upon the throne, keg at his side and mug in hand.
Was this the one who commanded the undead guardians? It seemed very unlikely, but Tharn'Kar had learned long ago to take nothing at face value.
Drawing his sword, Tharn'Kar strode with confidence towards the dwarf,
"I believe you have something that I desire. Perhaps you should just save us both the time and hand it over willingly and perhaps I will find it in me to spare you."

Ivan was having a good time for once, all this treasure and his gem all to him self. It had been almost a day since he had started drinking and nothing had bothered him since. He actually thought there was no one left, he was just going to finish this last mug of ale and then go through the treasure again adjusting what was in the vault and what was out here for his employers to go though, which he had already done twice and there was less for his employers to take each time he did it. When a elf waked in right up to the steps of the throne drew a sword and started to tell Ivan to hand over something he desired.
Ivan had a mouth full at the time and almost chocked on it as he started to lauph. "Ahhh you want me treasure eh well ye can't be havin any of it", "and if ye don't turn around now all you be havin is me axe in yur face". As he chucked the mug to the ground and pulled his great axe off his back. The ale still dripping from his large black beard.

Tharn’Kar Diavilios strode confidently towards the chaos dwarf on the throne, completely confident that he would make short work of the half-inebriated creature. Ivan was on his feet quicker than the dark elf would have believed possible, axe in hand. When Tharn’Kar struck despite the ferocity of his attack, the dwarf’s armor held strong. “My turn”, Ivan chuckled, but he had imbibed a bit more than he probably should have, and his attacks were easily deflected by the nimble dreadlord.
Ivan swore as the dark elf twisted around his greataxe, coming up under his defenses and striking twice, drawing blood from the chaos dwarf. Ivan stumbled forward, spitting out blood angrily. Now he was mad.
Ivan spun the greataxe over his head in a deadly arc, slamming it down with such force that Tharn’Kar’s armor could not hold against it. The dreadlord was infuriated that the amulet did not flare to life as promised. He felt the axe bite into his flesh.
Tharn’Kar kicked out at the chaos dwarf, knocking him sideways with the help of Ivan’s momentum. He struck with his weapon repeatedly, but this time Ivan was able to avoid any additional damage.
Ivan was getting angrier by the second, and slashed with his great axe while yelling in rage. Tharn’Kar’s amulet flared to protective life at last, however when the black smoke came for Ivan, his own talisman was able to fend off the life draining magics. Tharn’kar looked around reflexively at the sound of the echoing yell, half expecting the legion of undead surrounding this stronghold to come to the sound. Ivan pushed forward, again striking home through the dark elf’s protection and drawing blood. Tharn’Kar’s breath was coming in rasping gasps, and he knew he was sorely injured.
With a great effort of will, Tharn’Kar slashed upwards with his great sword, catching Ivan right under the chin, splitting the chaos dwarf’s face in two. Blood and brain matter splattered across the dreadlord’s armor as Ivan landed heavily upon him. As the dark elf allowed the body of the dwarf to fall, a glowing gem rolled onto the floor. Its power called to Tharn’Kar willing him to pick it up, which he eagerly did. The dreadlord smiled despite the pain he felt. He had found it.

Grandmaster Ivan the Hammer awoke to a pounding headache. Luckily his body was only stiff, nothing seemed broken. The harsh sunlight outside didn’t help matters much, but he was able to ascertain that it was afternoon. Some light stitch work was needed, and easily accomplished. Luckily the wound had clotted enough that he didn’t bleed out in his sleep. The pain of the process helped sharpen his mind once again to the task at hand.
Blinking, he made his way out into the sunlight. He could hear a casual song on the air, strangely out of place in this desolate city. He had strapped on his armor at least, and quickly saddled his horse. Ivan was just leaving the stables when he saw the creature of chaos. The exalted was strolling along on his steed of slaanesh, whistling as he rode, seemingly indifferent to the dangers here. Ivan mounted his horse and called out to the warrior.
“I am here to purge you from this world. Prepare to die.”
Emillio laughed heartily, “I do not think so knight. You’d better run along now.”
Ivan charged, a howl of outrage as he drew his hammer. Emillio did not urge his mount forward, and sat with his hand upon the hilt of his weapon. When Ivan neared his foe, Emillio drew in one fluid motion, with a slight movement of his knees, Lazinthia knew to move at the last instant, giving the advantage to the exalted. Emillio struck with his weapon, which barely seemed to scratch the surface of Ivan’s armor. Ivan nearly dropped his hammer as the little strength he had seemed to be robbed from him. Emillio called in a high clear voice twisted entreaties to Slaanesh. The magical caress from the word of agony could not however penetrate the stout focus and devotion of the grandmaster.
Ivan’s hammer thundered down upon Emillio with a resounding crack that told the warrior’s armor was not able to hold fast. Emillio winced in pain and went low upon Lazinthia, who moved to exude poison upon the knight, but Ivan moved quickly out of reach.
Ivan called upon the might of Sigmar to guide him, and struck Emillio square in the chest with the hammer, knocking him to the ground. Lazinthia moved to intercede between Ivan and her master, but the grandmaster crushed her skull with the back stroke of the weapon. Leaping to the ground Ivan stood with his armored foot pinning Emillio in place. As he raised his hammer high to end this despicable creature’s life, he stated grimly:
“When you meet your daemon masters, tell them when I’m done with all of you, they’re next”.

Tharn'Kar once again checked the wounds to make sure they hadn't cut too deeply. It would seem that his amulet wasn't the perfect protection he'd been lead to believe it was. He'd have to be sure to rely on it less in the future and focus more on his own skills if forced to fight again.
He then looked down upon the gem the dwarf had been concealing. This had to be what he'd been sent for. The power it emanated was beyond anything he'd ever seen before. It was power that, for a moment, he thought could rival that of the Witch King himself. His mind was suddenly filled with visions of himself leading the entire nation of Dark Elves in victory against the hated elves of Ulthuan.
As suddenly as the vision came, it was brutally shattered by the intrusion of a vision of Morathi. The pain that ripped through him was almost unbearable. It seemed to last for eternity, but was over in a single heartbeat.
"Do not entertain such grand ideas. The promises of the gem are false though it's power can be used for other means. Bring it to me as you were sworn to do, for as you have just seen, the gem can not protect you from me and my reach is infinite. Be warned, only one stands between you and victory. Do not fail me like your father did."
With that the vision vanished, though the pain still lingered as a reminder of Morathi's threat.
Snarling to himself for being such a fool, Tharn'Kar made his way out of the palace to being his search for this final opponent. The sooner he was done with this, the sooner he could claim his reward.

Around the same time as Ivan Ironskins body fell down dead from his fight with the dark elf another boat anchored it self far off shore from the city. The ship was bussling with well paid sailor, and one man who was wearing a suit of Armour that looked like it was made of pure gold. He was very old, well in the human sense reaching what must be his 70 or 80s, he was average hight, and although the Armour was very big from what you could tell he swam in it. He stood peering out at the city, normally he would be a jolly old man but this was not the time for fun. It had be a large gamble to send the dwarf to the city and collect its treasures, and that was not the biggest gamble that was associated with this venture he was trying to over take over the title of mercenary king from a man who he had served for many years. If this went wrong the king would know of his plan and although even in his old age he could kill the king he was not in the prime of his life anymore and he could no longer stand against a whole army him self.
The planks of the ship had be reinforced to hold the weight of his Armour and many of the crew wondered how any man let alone such an old man could walk around in an Armour make of pure gold, the floor boards would creek and groan as he walked over them.
One of the crew ran up and said, "We're here sir Gilgamesh sir, and no sign of the signal sir". Gilgamesh nodded and waved the crew member away. "The damned dwarf better signal that he has the treasure soon", he said to him self but he already had a feeling that something had gone wrong and he would not have the treasure he needed to pay off the right people to over throw the king. And if he made it back to port with out the gold it wouldn't be long after that he would be fighting for his life and not even his whole mercenary army could stand against the kings even if they all stayed which he knew as soon as some found that the king was after them they would switch sides.
He would give Ivan another day but then they would have to leave with or without the treasure he could afford no longer
