I like it actually...
you have alot of synapse (tyrant, warriors, tervigon, trygon prime) so your lines should be pretty secure. Outflanking hormagaunts are a good idea, because if they fail synapse they gain rage... new rage is awesome... there are ample threats with the four MC's the ymgarls, and the hormagaunts, and you have transport popping with the hive guard and the t-fex.
spore mines mess with deployment and the devourer gaunts mow down infantry through weight of shots... you have the tervigon to buff nearby gaunts and spit out more scoring units... warriors can anchor backfield synapse and are still threatening...
yep... good list....

new changes above
basically made the termagaunts existing only to support the tervigon, devourers to fill the points.... double brood of ymgarls is the big change here

Drop the spores mines down and bump the hormagaunts back up. 13 of them will die too easily and run away since they aren't going to have fearless since you want to outflank them.
And like I said before, the heavy venom cannon is a 'kinda meh' weapon. There are better choices for your hive tyrant.

since I bought the 2nd ed... the choices are less...... I can try to stick some devourers on, and make him the ugliest hive tyrant ever.. LOL

Harry why do you really want spore mine seriously I dont understand... I won a game of apocalypse first round with spore mines. I never moved a model. They can be useful, but not really in a game aside from apocalypse when you can take enough of them to do a good job of blowing up.

harry - as Ray said, the hormagaunts are too low in number, especially if you are outflanking. I would use at least 20. It is better to use your points on hormagaunts than spore mines if you have the choice. Remember the hormagaunts cannot assault the turn they outflank so will have to withstand at least one round of shooting and then likely overwatch.
Speaking of outflanking you have devourer gaunts and hormagaunts outflanking. Hive Commander only allows you to outflank one troop choice.

If you put them in front of your trygon prime, they will give it a 5+ cover save. Cover saves are important when your an MC
