I think this might work... just maybe... The idea is that karnak joins the bloodcrushers, making them scout... skarbrand and the thrones run forward, creating a wall of hatred and fury for the bloodletters pouring down the field behind them, while the soulgrinder lobs pie plates in front of them, thinning out numbers visually it seems like it would look cool... 70 bloodletters should mean that maybe half of them might hit combat if they're focused on... however focusing on them means that you aren't firing at skarbrand crazy-pants and the thrones... if the thrones pop the heralds join the units running up behind them. there is a bubble 6" around every throne of rage... a 12" bubble around skarbrand of hatred... karanak and the crushers can operate independently of the synergy bubble as he gives them rage and hatred already if might.... just might.... work.... just can't roll an 8 on warpstorm... lol.... HQ: Skarbrand Karanak herald of khorne: blood throne of khorne, greater reward, locus of fury herald of khorne: blood throne of khorne, greater reward, locus of fury herald of khorne: blood throne of khorne, greater reward, locus of fury Troops: 20 bloodletters 20 bloodletters 15 bloodletters 15 bloodletters Elite: 6 bloodcrushers, including champ with lesser reward (swap for AP2 strike at initiative weapon!) Heavy: Soul grinder - marked khorne, phlegm 2,000 points

I can even trade you 20 BL for 10 new PB (you buy a box at Mike and I give you 20 BL) thats a good deal ... Oh and Tom and I think Khorne can be pretty good!if we agree on something its like rolling 5 double 1s on the warpstrom table in a row haha

Yeah, I think mono-Khorne is the strongest army build, other gods have some very good stuff, but khorne is just good all around imo.
I think a really effective trick would be if you combine bloodletters with a beast of khorne screen. I really like the deepstrike icon trick to drop big hordes right in the enemies face if your worried about bolter fire. 40 bloodletters and 20 beasts of khorne in your face T2 would be hard hard to deal with. (especially with threat support)
I realize your working with what you've got atm, but I think beasts of khorne should be an auto-take in a mono-khorne list.

@dany... if they're unpainted I might take you up on it... I'm never stripping fucking models again if I can help it!
khorne the strongest build? nope... it used to be tzeentch... guess what it is now? (I'm saving that build til last)
there is no beast of khorne so I'm not sure where you're getting that... there's beasts of nurgle... fiends are beasts... crushers are cavalry... and if you're suggesting I screen cheap models with a 5+ with expensive models with a 5+ to give the cheap models a 5+... I respecfully disagree lol...
I'm not working with what I got actually... the mono-god builds I've been posting, I generally have less than 25% of the models needed...
reasons why mono-khorne has problems - most expensive units, least effective grinder builds, heavy support sucks ass outside of grinders, bloodcrushers have been nerfed considerably (understandable given the horrific screw up it was to have the fate-crusher build possible), no psychic power or weirdly enough defense, no effective shooting outside of grinders... which are BS3...
again, I'd autotake a beast of khorne if one existed... there isn't one...

hes talking about the dog Im sure. They are not painted Shannon. I think I have like 18-19 Im not sure.
So far from what Im reading people thinks Slaanesh and Khorne are the best. Nobody thinks mono nurgle can works I dont know why...

Oh I think mono nurgle works very well. Thinking something like this. Based on models I have. 4 x 20 PB deepstrike one 6 nurglings GUO 4 HON 2 or 3 SG w phlegm depends on points
I would like to try 3 beasts n drones 1 of 5 or 2 of 3

I'm talking about the hounds of khorne maybe? Fleshhounds? The ones that used to get a 2+ invul vs psychic attacks but are different now. They are still T4, cheap and are deadly as far I've I've seen.

oh you meant flesh hounds... okay that makes more sense... karanak actually works better in blood crushers because he makes them scout but the hounds are pretty meh... 2 S4 attacks on a 5+ platform... I'd just rather more bloodletters...

version 2 of the khorne list, using khorne-dogs.... HQ: Skarbrand Karanak Herald - greater reward, lesser reward, locus of fury Herald - greater reward, lesser reward, locus of wrath Herald - greater reward, lesser reward, locus of wrath Troops: (each have a herald) 20 bloodletters 20 bloodletters 20 bloodletters Fast: 20 flesh hounds (Karanak goes here) Heavy: skull cannon skull cannon Soulgrinder - khorne, phlegm 2000 points 3 S8 large blast per turn, one of which is AP3, the other two give assault grenades to my army if I charge what's left 20 flesh hounds plus karanak are 3 T5 wounds and 40 T4 wounds that are pretty immune to psychic attacks and dish out 60 S4 and 5 S5 attacks on the charge (if by some miracle they cross the board)... given they're beasts that can scout they're hitting combat turn two.... behind them runs 60 blood letters with crazy geared up heralds and skarbrand making everyone go crazy sauce.... they should be hitting combat turn three.... So wave theory... turn one pie plates... turn two pie plates and flesh hound wave... turn three - profit! basically no objective camping... run screaming across the board and hope for the best... It's amazing how many models you can get on the board when you're not paying 300 points for a handful of bloodcrushers!

Feels like foot slogging slugga boyz, with the addition of pieplates. It'll be interesting seeing the hounds in action and if their screen / initial tie-up is enough to make your foot slogging bloodletters rough up some dudes. Getting "free" frag grenades after an artillery salvo is sweet though! Very fitting for khorne

I blame Ray... he's the one recommending khorne-dogs...
even with saving $60 (WTF GW?) on the heralds by building two from the cannon kit it still costs me $600 for the second list... mainly because those dogs are $60 for FIVE models...!!!!
stupid finecast!

I'll make up a list after reading the book, but I think faster overwhelming CC threats backed up by Bloodletters is going to be pretty freaking scary.
